  • Thanks for checking out our new shoe review about the New Newton Fate 6 & Newton Kismet 6. With this latest update, we find that these shoes are fitting more true to size. Newton advertises that these shoes are a great everyday running shoe but at the shop, we like to use it for race day because it feels like it propels you forward and is super fast. We are big fans of the Newton brand so if you have any questions comment below and I'll try to get back to you. Thanks for watching!

    I appreciate your honesty in explaining why you carry some models and not others. Also, I like that you just present the shoes and features as well as infuse stories of customers' and your own experience. It's all very straight forward. And you seem to allude to the fact that all shoes can be good for some and not others, that you should be open to trying and making your own choice; this is my feeling too - the newest, most popular shoes that all my friends love never seem to work for me. Great job. Thank you.

    Sounds like a fun and durable shoe! As usual, great job in detailing the features and uses of this attractive shoe.

    Ran in the Distance 3 and Gravity 3 then they kind of went away. I got interested in other brands. Earlier this year I picked up the Fate 5 and the Distance 8. Both are great. I have been running in them since the late spring. I just returned the Fate 6 - this is the new specific to women redesigned fit. Unfortunately it was shallow in the toe box, it is much more pointed, much narrower, and just didn't fit right. Newton's always had great width and breathable uppers - but that new upper and fit for the Fate 6 was aan emphatic no for me. Love the shoes in general though! May spring for the new version Gravity when my Fate 5 wears out :)

    Difficult question.. The drop is 4.5 mm in the Fate and 3.5 mm on the Gravity 11. But are the lugs in the front of the Gravity 11 higher so its actually a higher drop in the Fate then the 1.5 mm? Lower pressure in the Fate? 1.5 mm difference is not noticeable...?

    I am looking for a running shoe that has a good amount of cushion to protect my bad knees but also some what firm and stable on the heel. The reason I need the firmness, it's because of an accident I had as a kid and it left my left foot 1/2 a size shorter than my right foot and my left foot tends to land on the outside when running. I tried the Hoka Clifton 6 and the cushion on those does help out my knees quite a bit but I get really bad shin splints. What would you recommend? Thank you!

      Thank you for checking out our videos. I would recommend checking out the Mizuno Wave Horizon 4, if you are a supinator who is looking for a frim cushioned shoe.

    All promo codes do not work. I add "Run Moore", "runmoore", "run moore", and "Runmoore". Any recommendations regarding the promo code ?

      Weird, we just tried it and it seemed to work. You're not using quotation marks, are you? Code: runmoore seems to be working for us.

      @@RunMoore No I did not use a quotation mark. I just tried putting runmoore and it shows -- Enter a valid discount code or gift card--. That is ok. I never try Newton. Now I am running with Mizuno Wave Rider 24. Like the wave rider but always want to try something new :)

    Literally the most disgusting trainers ever made, but very good

    Fun fact: Kismet and Fate are the very same word, one in Arabic/Turkish and the other one in English. Kismet is a bit more stabilized and strict, since it contains more of god's will. Fate is a bit more lose and might be used also by non Abrahamic religions. This is reflected on the stabilized, non stabilized designs.

    I just bought the green ones for 80$ at a local BMX store by my house. They carry running shoes and had the Newton’s 1/2 off. I’m not a runner I just like how comfortable they are

    Ha...I was very much a Newton cult member between maybe 2010 and 2016. Then I had some knee pain and a PT who was very anti-Newton....and she talked me into trying Altra. I got hooked! But, I still keep an eye on what Newton is up to. Would you say there is adequate toe box room? I know it wouldn't be Altra-like, just curious if it's reasonable.

      @suspicionofdeceit Nike's basically never worked for me...always found them way too narrow! But my Newton collection met a similar fate!

    I had a pair of the Distance once, absolutely loved running in them for the most part, but yeah, getting small stones stuck in between the lugs became an annoyance. If Newton could find a fix for that I'd try them again in a heartbeat.

    I used to run in Brooks and then tried Newton’s. Got plantar fasciitis... so I had to go back. Then later transitioned over to Hokas.

    How the new Fate 6 compare to the Fate 5? I'm using Fate 5 and they'll need a replacement pretty soon :)

    I know this is an old video, but...I ran in the Motion for about 4 years. Eventually switched to Kismet. I think the Kismet has beveled lugs so felt better on the foot. Question: I've always worn a neutral shoe. Didn't realize the Motion and Kismet were stability shoes. I'm happy with the Kismet, but is this a problem since I ended up with stability in Newton when ordering online? No stores in my area sell Newtons.

    • @RunMoore
      @RunMoore  2 роки тому +1

      As long as you haven't had any significant injuries (especially knee injuries), it is absolutely fine to be running in a light stability shoe as a neutral runner as long as you are comfortable.

    Hey Steve, could you clarify the drop on these? I've never been sure how exactly Newton is measuring this. Do they truly measure with the height of the lugs? Or are they just measuring the midsole foam height? Thanks!

    • @uscfroadie
      @uscfroadie 4 роки тому

      They do not take into consideration the lug height, which is why they feel weird when just standing in them. They actually feel like a negative drop shoe when the lungs are not compressed, and those lugs only compress under load (landing) and de-compress as you lift off. Hope this helps.

    • @thesii213
      @thesii213 4 роки тому

      @@uscfroadie It does! Although I've heard people say both things. I quite like Newtons, but the lugs have always felt a little clumsy to me. Still, I could certainly learn to love them.
      Anyway. Thanks!
