Gonna be really honest Arnold, as soon as I finished the livestream i also have a habit of watching reaction and among the ones I watched i got really frustrated as most channels were just saying the Dev's are "yapping" even when the Dev's are actually answering some of the most important questions and experiences . So I got really happy seeing your reaction to this stream . You, Unreal dreamer And Islandxd are so far the only reactors I watch every video of
or some of them are so Childish with Genshin Could never, like you are a grown ass men, Jesus. Behave like it, Arnold and few others are the mature ones.
Bro I felt the same, it's one thing to say they're not talking about what interests you but you could be respectful about it atleast. Hearing the thought process behind their decision making for each character and the story was really interesting.
Omg yes, it's been bothering me all day. They literally ignore the subtitles and than say they are "yapping" just bcs they aren't talking abt giving 5* when we literally got one a few months ago. Like I don't get it.
I never watched those channels again. For me, those channels exist just for HSR views, they dont care about what happen in the games or what dev did to improve the game. Thats why I only watch people pay attention to lore rather than playing Hoyoverse games and talk about off topics all time.
As a fellow non-leak enjoyer, it is always a blast seeing your reactions. I love being hyped alongside someone who doesn't know what's coming because that's true genuine excitement from you. Speaking of leaks, it was very based of the devs to address their feelings on this. I don't go actively searching for leaks but I see them anyways in comments or randomly in social media algorithm (like fanart or posts people make without a leaked tag), and it sucks. It does disrupt that process of enjoying the storytelling when you get spoiled on the ending. Now this won't stop people from still spreading leaks, but I hope more people will try to gatekeep those leaks and keep them locked in their own corner where their fellow enjoyers can enjoy them, and those that don't will stay oblivious until officially released.
all the fun memes aside, seeing Shaoji's heartrate hitting 100bpm while he talks about the leakers problem is telling that this man cares a whole hell of a lot about this story. i think we all need to remember to spread an equal amount of love for his incredible writing talent alongside the fun memes about him killing all our favorite characters, because Honkai wouldnt be as incredible a story as it is without him.
It’s worth saying that almost any game dev that cares about their creations, which is the vast majority, feel identically. Having your hard labor over the course of a year be presented to the world by someone else takes away their ability (and right imo) as creators to deliver their experience the way they worked so hard to achieve.
honestly, streams like this do a lot to help us know more of the devs and seeing how much they love the game makes me feel closer to them as well, Shaoji and his team, so far at least, have been doing a great job, I have good hopes for the game going forward
As a software dev, I'm sad by the live chat that I hid them. I find their talk relatable, even funny on some instances. But the chat reactions shows that a lot of HSR English fans are young, and a lot of office jokes pass by their radar. I'm excited for this patch, especially for a lore guesser like me. I'm guilty on subscribing at the leaks subreddit, but I'm glad that they hide story spoilers well than the main subreddit (never go to reddit if you haven't played the story). I mostly peruse the leaks for the characters materials so I could farm the relics early. For the UA-cam spoilers, I have my history disabled in UA-cam and only have notifications on my subscribed channels so that I avoid spoilers.
Being a software dev in this community is truly painful. Especially if you also have any game dev experience or knowledge. So much can be seen and inferred by those that work professionally in those fields that most can’t see, and thus others have no reason to believe it.
I was so disappointed with the chat that was running live during the livestream. The sheer amount of asinine jibberish was astonishing. There were so many childish comments, and it hurt my heart to read them. I turned that off having gotten fed up with it. I'm so glad that there are people like you, Arnold. The enthusiasm is infectious and I always look forward to your reactions. Great video as always.
In addition to the 30 pulls and 300% relic rate, the Cosmodyssey event will also have rewards since its cumulated global score, so more points = more rewards for everyone once its over.
1. That isn't the Herrscher of Thunder btw, that girl has different horns from HoT which is what Shaoji is pointing out. That's probably Acheron in a past life or something. 2. Mei and HoT aren't separate individuals they are one entity not different personalities. Its all Mei. 3. An Emanator isn't a different of being but a title and position of power granted by one's respective Aeon. At least that's how its been for the Emanators. So I don't think Acheron has a different persona. Her turning white and red more likely has to with her returning memories which are unsealed along with her sword. As well as the power of Nihility which draws upon.
I really do want to highlight that Acheron is NOT Raiden Mei from Honkai Impact 3rd. This was said in the livestream. They say she parallels the others like Raiden Mei and Raiden Shogun.
Just found your channel a few weeks ago and I'm always waiting for your reaction content on either genshin and star rail, I just love your energy dude 😂
I really hate spoilers. I still remember that the 2.0 version just came out, and I accidentally saw the 2.0 version of firefly's ending in Bilibili. So I have to prepare to finish the quest on the first day.I don't know if you have ever been accidentally spoiled
The thing that makes me the most ""mad"" is whenever Himeko is mentioned everyone goes crazy, even though they are talking about the event and the past Astral Express navigators, obviously they're going to put an example of the one we actually know Also also, the hate during Aventurine's part was insane, were those people just mad that their "WaIFu" didn't have more screentime??? Idk they were just acting cringe 😭😭 Anyways, SUPER excited about 2.1, I've rewatched the trailer they put out a few times and it's killing me already, can't believe we can't just skip into the next version smh
Best livestream reaction so far. Other channel and especially the livechat on the stream are just complaining because of too much yapping. Also, we may joke around on not liking Shaoji because he is killing our beloved characters left and right but I got the highest respect to this dude for addressing the leaks situation. Keep cooking
I noticed a very cool detail about Acheron! Her sword is like some kind of curse. After all, when she gets him, time freezes around. And the girl herself is covered with creepy flowers and seems to be turning gray. I noticed that her usual attack is not with a blade, but with a scabbard. Which shows that you can't just get the blade out. And! Her sword is Odachi. A two-meter katana. It takes a lot of strength to swing like that. And the Girl just waves with one hand like a wand. wow! And Again! When she pulls out a sword for ulta. All impacts occur against the background of a Black Hole!!!! I Fell In Love! Take all my money!
Also I want to note that March 7th will not change path but will upgrade through memories as they said. I have no idea what that means so we will have to see.
Aventurine is cool, all the hate on him is cringe. The devs' comments during his introduction also reveal a nice complexity to his character. I'm looking forward to his story in-game. As for leaks, it's obviously a popular opinion that story leaks are cringe. But look at the comments during the banner reveals; "WHERE'S FU XUAN" It was leaked that Fu Xuan would have a banner, and the 5star selector fake leak also went around. When the information is wrong, leaks are also clearly hurting players who are trying to make decisions about how to spend their pulls and resources; not just story enjoyers. The big September leak was pretty much all accurate, but now that its contents are coming to a close, I hope players will be less dependent on and fiending for leaks. I love the story-driven Honkai community, but it is ridiculous how casually and emphatically a large number of people were happy to spread leaked information around in every single piece of content related to Honkai. Even livechat reactions like "HE DOESN'T KNOW" are cringe and legit spoilers to anyone who can put 2 and 2 together.
FYI, Acheron was never a Galaxy Ranger, she only claimed she is one and was using the invitation that she swiped from Ilfrit's corpse. She is an Emanator of either Ix the Nihility or Terminus the Finality but the higher odd is on IX due to the Deep Diver set. Her true goal is unknown but I just want make sure that people don't actually think she is a Galaxy Ranger.
What a murderofbirds stream is like to viewers: Misses the Mei scene - 2:34 and gives everyone watching his stream a Myocardial infarction. Talking over the stream about How weird Acheron is Nihility, given Hunt/Galxy Ranger at 6:28 while devs mentioning "due to unspeakable reasons" Jumping the gun thinking Acheron's map skill doesn't consumes any Tech point, only to thank the gods for him to notice the chat, as he missed the second half of that sentence. Host asks Shaoji: Is Acheron's real name a tongue twister? or not a tongue twister? Then Arnold be like: Acheron's real name is a tongue twister? Again, didn't even realize the scene at 2:34, so being super surprised at 10:05 10:14 while being all mind-blown completely misses Shaoji says: "Look carefully, the horns are different". And now he's completely led astray thinking this takes place in Hi3rd's timeline.. 12:09 thank the gods the devs showed the horned character again, otherwise Arnold's gonna have to rewatch to find it later XD. And so many other instances. Thank the heavens that we know he likes to go back and watch things again for details later in his off time. Otherwise a lot of us would be going to sleep wondering how much he actually listen from the stream, how much he understood, and how much he misunderstood lmao.
Oh definitely this!! I'm so happy he goes back and rewatches the streams bc a lot of streamers don't do that, and then they go on about playing the game with false info lol
The game itself clears all that up, so while I may be overtaken by hype and excitement, it's not like the context of the livestream applies to what is ACTUALLY in the game. This also doesn't happen in every stream, so it's a bit disingenuous to make the statement, "Arnold doesn't pay attention in his live stream and only realizes stuff because his chat clarifies and he rewatches stuff." If anything, this is the first stream where, 1) they talk super freaking fast and the subtitles are going by incredibly fast, and I have dyslexia, so yeah, that's bound to shake things up. 2) I haven't even made it past Chapter 9 of HI3rd so regardless of what Shaoji is saying about Acheron, I'm going to make those same assumptions and parallels about that being her in the livestream. Those horns still looks like the HoT, likely an expy, so I don't see why that's any less valid of a thought to have. Microanalyzing any time I say something wrong or correcting my actions after the fact is slightly annoying. I'm live, I'm trying to do so much juggling of paying attention, responding to chat, and having my own hype and reaction to things, and it feels like comments like these really aim to poke fun and even belittle someone for not being as "on the nose" about what a livestream is discussing, or even just letting someone have their own fun. The "XD" , lmao" in a comment that being critical just feels like I'm being ridiculed for not understanding what even isn't out yet. I don't watch these livestreams and then finish by saying "And everything I just thought will happen as I thought it would". It the main reason why everything is in question form? And hey, if I'm wrong, the actual Version 2.1 update will give me the straight-up in story, so it's not like I'm incapable of processing new information and applying it to what is ACTUALLY happening. Long story short, yes, hype can sometimes deter me from seeing the full picture, but making an itemized list of every instance of misunderstanding, with timestamps, feels like a microaggression, especially when you frame it as "this is what every murderofbirds stream is like for viewers" when that's simply not true. Not only that, but wouldn't it be redundant to point all of this out, just to say "yeah, but he rewatches everything anyways so it doesn't matter." It just seems like you're pointing out someone's flaws just to shame them.
40 pulls actually, (20 from the daily login, 1600 from mail, another 1000 from the in-game event, 300 from the livestream codes, and the last 300 is from maintenance). Acheron and Luocha are sooo going home-
Aventurine is literally like Hoyo went into my brain and stole my original character lol 😂 he is designed and styled literally the way I imagined, I had a double take when I saw his first drip marketing 🤣 so yeah I will definitely be risking it all for him, I’ve saved up everything for him. I gotta main the character I imagined up in my head before Hoyo made him real! 😁 sorry Sparkle, sorry Acheron, I’ll get yall next time
Acheron's gameplay and potential Mei lore made me actually want to play the game for the first time in a long time to the point where I considered actually opening the game, but then the Aventurine boss being gamba just sucked all that out of me. lmao
32:37 idk why that coincidence bruhh dawei's clothes was the same clothes in 4.0 genshin livestream lol and not answering the question just like we were asking about more quality of life in genshin
No, leaks will not stop and I will continue to look forward to them. Spoilers exist in every medium and you cant just tell people not to talk about something, not to mention the planning aspect of gacha games for players that are F2P or don't want to spend money spontaneously. I get it no one likes spoilers, but they exist and there will never be a way to get rid of them entirely. The world doesn't revolve around me or anyone else's way of living so we all have to deal with it. If you don't want leaks or spoilers in YOUR circle that's completely respectable and people should adhere to that, but that's as far as that goes.
Feel free to have the opinion you’re entitled to, but just because someone else is going to do something anyway does not justify it or make it right. Additionally, the point of the plea was that they work their ass over for over a year on Penacony, only to have their work displayed unceremoniously and without care on their behalf. It’s soul crushing. Demotivated devs leads to a worse game. So, even if others are going to do it, what you do is still your responsibility. It is a responsibility, however, that no one can hold you to and whose consequences you’ll never see linked to those actions.
I don't think it's true to say that there's no way to combat leaks in a gacha game like Genshin or HSR. If they stopped their beta programs, which is where the majority of the kit information and unofficially released gameplay comes from, they'd cut the leak stream at the source. Now, do I think that will happen, no, otherwise they would've given a more definitive answer as to how they plan to combat leaks vs "how do leaks make you feel as developers of this game". I certainly get the advantages of leaks, especially when it comes to prefarming, and wondering if you'd pull for a character, but those same deciding factors can be made in the time that it takes between an official livestream special program dropping and the day the patch goes LIVE (11-day period) However, given the nature of how beta testing future content likely helps with balancing units and stress testing how everything works, it's likely to be too valuable of a resource to kill off to protect the integrity of their game development. But I will say, some of the BEST community reactions, discussions, and general excitement came from content that NOBODY knew saw coming (Winter Night's Lazzo, Overture Teaser, Annihilation Gang) and that's because leakers didn't know it existed, and thus, couldn't ruin the surprise for themselves or anyone else. But it is what it is.
The devs were talking about the story leak in September 2023, and that leak doesn't come from beta test. Those major leaks that really ruin players experience usually don't come from beta server. It's very lucky that you didn't see that spoiler, but be careful, it's everywhere and people are getting spoiled to this day.
You know a trailer, be it Genshin or Star Rail, is lit when Arnold's face literally becomes :O
TRUEEEEEEEE

People just needs to control their story spoilers cause those are no fun..kit and new stuff is Ok though
all the fun memes aside, seeing Shaoji's heartrate hitting 100bpm while he talks about the leakers problem is telling that this man cares a whole hell of a lot about this story.

For real, i was getting worked up just hearing him talk about it
Man I'm glad he talk about the leaks. I actually got spoiled on what happen to Firefly 2 weeks before 2.0 update.
honestly, streams like this do a lot to help us know more of the devs and seeing how much they love the game makes me feel closer to them as well, Shaoji and his team, so far at least, have been doing a great job, I have good hopes for the game going forward

Bout to blast Bury the Light when I pull for Acheron
1. That isn't the Herrscher of Thunder btw, that girl has different horns from HoT which is what Shaoji is pointing out. That's probably Acheron in a past life or something.
2. Mei and HoT aren't separate individuals they are one entity not different personalities. Its all Mei.

Her turning white and red more likely has to with her returning memories which are unsealed along with her sword. As well as the power of Nihility which draws upon.
Its funny seeing someone read 1/3rd of the subs try to piece together everything being said
Its is mei, go look mei in GGZ, thats her. She is mei that lost her kiana and her world in GGZ.
@@ytwaldan That's pure speculation.
I like how they completely miss the one clue, which is the sword, that shows it is indeed acheron in the past, and not mei
@@LocTran-sc7mm Okay but Acheron is very clearly version of Mei. So it is still Mei.
I really do want to highlight that Acheron is NOT Raiden Mei from Honkai Impact 3rd. This was said in the livestream. They say she parallels the others like Raiden Mei and Raiden Shogun.
Im so excited. Cant wait to see you play it!!!!!!!!!!

I was about to watch the stream vod, so this is perfect timing!
I really hate spoilers. I still remember that the 2.0 version just came out, and I accidentally saw the 2.0 version of firefly's ending in Bilibili. So I have to prepare to finish the quest on the first day.I don't know if you have ever been accidentally spoiled
I can proudly say that I spent 1 item with FF's credits. And didn't skip her dialogues. True FF stan
6:25 it’s kinda like how the masked fools we have so far aren’t under elation skill wise despite following aha but are nihility and harmony instead
8:31 Her ult in the background kinda looks like the item of narwhal the eye of the maelstrom and one the skill of skirk in genshin
The thing that makes me the most ""mad"" is whenever Himeko is mentioned everyone goes crazy, even though they are talking about the event and the past Astral Express navigators, obviously they're going to put an example of the one we actually know

Fr with the chat being weirded out by the amount of Aventurine hate I haven’t been this excited for a character since Kafka personally
I cant wait for 2.1 for acheron, the astral express interactions within the patch and with acheron herself.
someone in the chat said "Aventurine used Coin Legacy" LMAO HAHAHA
Don’t worry! Aventurine isn’t power creeping gepard, fu xuan did that three months into the games life lol
Damn, you didn’t have to do me dirty like that LMAO
Les go Happy Anniversary HSR Cheers Arnold

16:55 me, a Clara main: what’s Erudition
omg thank you for the codes reminder. almost forgot lol
I wonder if those "cornerstones" Aventurine was concerned about have any connection to Herrscher cores...
Also I want to note that March 7th will not change path but will upgrade through memories as they said. I have no idea what that means so we will have to see.
9:45 you can eat food items in Sim Uni for infinite technique points

I think March 7th will still be ice her path will be the only thing that changes
my birthday is the same day as the anniversary April 26
happy birthday in advance.

Acheron's gameplay and potential Mei lore made me actually want to play the game for the first time in a long time to the point where I considered actually opening the game, but then the Aventurine boss being gamba just sucked all that out of me. lmao
Finally i can get xueyi
32:37 idk why that coincidence bruhh
dawei's clothes was the same clothes in 4.0 genshin livestream lol and not answering the question just like we were asking about more quality of life in genshin

Aintnoway somebody is going to regret pulling for Acheron over Aventurine lol
They are talking about story leaks.
The devs were talking about the story leak in September 2023, and that leak doesn't come from beta test. Those major leaks that really ruin players experience usually don't come from beta server. It's very lucky that you didn't see that spoiler, but be careful, it's everywhere and people are getting spoiled to this day.
