The change of moods within the song, both in this one and Jumpers, reminds me of Jefferson Airplane's "Crown of Creation", which came out, what, six years before Ms. Brownstein was born. :-)
thank you so much for this. The Hot Rock is one of my favorite albums and I distinctly remember hearing those songs for the first time at this show. I've always wished i could re-experience this particular concert, and this is the closest I'll ever get.
This is an incredibly tough song to play and sing, but it's still a bit disappointing how stiff it sounds here. Carrie Brownstein is all over the place timing-wise and the guitar harmonies are way off.
Ew as a drummer I kinda feel that NO drummer EVER wants their style o playing to ever be compared to a sterile ROBOT Ew I stand in solidarity with all drummers who passionately DON'T praise the machine and say FUCK DRUM MACHINES but that's just common drummer sense
I think they are referring to the precision. I would not have chosen the term myself but it was coming from a good place. Don't get your blood up, Chief.
I love Janet's robot drumming.
That's what brought me here today.
I come back to this performance time and time again. So fucking tight and badass.
I have so much respect for the songwriting of this band!!!
One of the greatest guitar riffs ever written. The tones on this live version aren't the greatest, but the studio version is scorching.
omg i was at this show!

It’s a superhero trio: Karate Girl, Drumbot, and Banshee.
