This is a really great idea and an excellent execution of that idea, and one that's long overdue in the VR community. These underlying design principles gets out of the daily cadence of the latest news, and starts to unpack the many innovations that have been happening over the past 7-8 years. Excited to see where you take the series, and what kind of hidden nuggets you're able to dig up.
Just saw the Half Life Alex video and that opened the door to this content! This is excellent for aspiring VR Developers! I am only saddened that there are only 4 videos at this time. I would love to see more and am looking forward to going through each of them and doing the survey you mention in the HLA video
Nice analysis and reasoning, I actually own a license to the software but have not tried it yet, this makes me want to jump in and check it out. Regarding language, I'm not sure if this is just because I'm not a native speaker, but using statements like "nothing could be further from the truth" and "couldn't demonstrate this more clearly" sounds like absolutes that are somewhat exaggerated. I can see how this is just expressions commonly used in the English language for effect, but they stood out to me in this case 😅 Perhaps due to the technical setting.
Thanks for the feedback Andreas. Yes I think most native speakers would understand these as common expressions meant for emphasis rather than hyperbolism. [Ben]
Kent Bye said everything! Yes please continue !
