Hello, mod author here. Thank you very much for this review, it was a pleasure to watch it! Rest assured that development is continuing and in fact a new update will release probably pretty soon. Now, for a couple things I wanted to mention after watching the video: -For the monument to Lysandus, it is mainly a "decorative" location, yes, but have you tried looking behind the statue? -For character creation, there should be a "Documents" folder inside the mod's folder which details what every class gets in terms of equipment and skills; -There are 2 ways to actually start the Arkay vs Mannimarco quest. the standard one is to go to Dwynnen like you did, but you can also get the quest from temples of Arkay which changes the enemies in the dungeon to undead so you don't have to kill your fellow followers of the divines -In the quest of Clavicus Vile, the priestess signals you to talk to the knights of Ebonarm to discover where Umbra is. you can actually give the sword to them instead of Clavicus and get a unique Shield. -For armor penalities, they mostly are just reducing your athletics a bit, with power draw and magic power also being drained with Very Heavy Armors. Dungeonwise, I think my favourite is the Direnni ruins, not sure if the hardest however. It is a bit hidden (in the forests near Camlorn) but there are some daedric ruins which were meant to be the hardest challenge as far as dungeons go. In any case, I'm very happy that someone had fun with my mod and thank you again for making a video on it. I'll be very glad if you decide to post your other playthroughs as well.
No thank YOU! It was a wonderful time. I would gladly post more if people like this one :) Also, If you’d like to share this anywhere please feel free!
Beyond Skyrim: Iliac Bay dev here, haven't played warband before but I may pick it up just to install this! What's shown here looks fantastic, and now i'm especially interested to see how you depict the Direnni Ruins!
I was going to call them the West Empire Company at first but I was not sure if such a thing existed so I just went with East. Maybe not the best choice.
@@ryndillblackfyre7793 In skyrim there is a map of the east empire ports or enclaves and i belive they have presence in all empire friendly provinces. Also the company had monopoly on ebony trade so them trading thad ebony to the western provinces is not out of the ordinary. Also, I love the fact that you added them as quest givers, i Wish we had that in skyrim. I know its not so glamorous like the companions but for me its just as if not more interesting.
It’s just the name of the company’s, clearly based off the east india company; a company that owned most of India but had its offices in London and did business everywhere the British empire did business aka a lot of other places then just eastern India.
@ghastlyghandi4301 It's not just a name, the East Empire Company operates mostly in Morrowind (the easternmost province of Tamriel), trading with ebony (the "blood of Lorkhan" from the Red Mountain), dwemer artifacts (from dwemer settlements there) and stahlrim (Solstheim). I think in Skyrim they also have an office in Windhelm (one of the Eastern holds), but that's probably cuz Morrowind fkin blew up lmao Their presence on other provinces it's probably because of their long trading routes rather than having actual operations/trade monopolies there. I could argue the same with the EIC, they also were based mostly in India (they monopolized and then conquered the whole place :s), and they never received a "West Indias" royal charter like the Dutch or the French West India Companies.
@DiocletianLarius yeah no shit that’s what I’m saying lmfao like the end of the day the east india company is still the east india company, so if they decide to do business in the UAE for instance they’re not going to completely change their name and iconography to make it more “appropriate” to whatever region they’re in. The east empire company just has business in other parts of the empire, it’s not that far fetched lol Edit: also funny how you mention charters, the EIC did actually effectively expanded into and “controlled” other places like in Yemen and the UAE like I said but because the EIC were essentially government contractors so any ‘business’ they did that was good for the empire the crown wouldn’t object. If the East empire company were to have outright control in other places it’s no stretch of the imagination that they’d probably be able to operate in a similar way.
I remember there was a Skyrim civil war mod as well on moddb, but it disappeared years ago. I remember hearing Bethesda hit them with a copyright since they directly ported textures for armors and such, idk how true that is, but it’s a shame regardless because it was a very good conversion. It was pretty cool seeing a more realistic Skyrim civil war instead of the very small scale conflict we actually see in game.
I think many of their assets, both models and textures are directly ported from TESV. Models retopo-ed and textures be downscaled. Had a hunch that it won't survived long. Lo and behold, it was gone from ModDB about couple months after releasing.
Yeah, the author was Ormir of Skyrim. He made the Skyrim Civil War, the Morrowind: House Wars and was working on a Tamriel spanning game too, but all kept being taken down because he used Bethesda textures for his assets and eventually dropped the whole thing and disappeared. Which sucks, because I was one of his Patreons and I had sent him money to see those mods become a reality
If this mod just had the map, items, and addition of magic, without unique quests or dungeons it would still be one of the better mods I've played recently. The quests and dungeons really elevate it. I'm so excited to see where this mod goes and new quests in future updates. The Dungeons are great too, and the rewards are great. I usually don't play mages, I certainly never have in Skyrim, for example. But I enjoyed playing a spell blade in my campaign with this, and for my next campaign I'll use more magic. I rarely feel that a Warband mod is pushing the game to new heights, this mod does in my estimation. I'm very glad you played and enjoyed it. I really hope more people see and download it. The other Warband mod which I feel is supremely underrated is Honor and Glory, which takes place in 16th century Eastern Europe, a century before WFaS, which (as a specialist) I think is far more interesting. You see wheellocks and full on Knights in Gothic harness on the same battlefield, which is always fun. I believe a new update is supposed to be coming out soon. The Zaporizhian Sich, Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and Principality of Moldavia are my three favorite factions, but you can also play as the HRE, Crimean Tatars, Livonian Order, Muscovy, Sweden, and Ottoman Enpire. It also has some unique quests, although I think not as developed as Iliac Bay in that regard unfortunately. To anyone reading this comment who doesn't use WSE2, please use it. Not only does it let you play any mod, it adds tons of improvements under the hood to increase performance and battle size for example.

That Dwemer dungeon looks like a slightly modified room from a dungeon in Warsword Conquest, this mod is drawing features from all the best Warband mods.

The only sad thing is that we have to go back to Warband for stuff like this because at this point, it seems unlikely that most TCMs anyone planned for Bannerlord will ever actually be realized.
Maybe if they stopped updating the game every week to change the trajectory of a single arrow fired by one bow to .08 degrees higher they’d be able to mod
Very curious to see how this mod dealt with magic, as vanilla Warband has nothing of the sort. Do you equip a fireball spell as you would a weapon and shoot them like a bow? What about spells from other schools?
It's based on throwing weapons with some effects attached. mostly healing, aoe damage and summoning units. So the only schools are destruction, conjuration and restoration.
If your idea was to showcase the mod, you did a terrible job of actually showing the things that differ from vanilla MB. You went with "generic blond sword guy" instead of showing the different races or classes from TES and how they looked in the mod. You didn't show magic (!!!) or the different armor types. You "showcased" pretty much nothing that was actually interesting and made it "not a TES paint" on Warband as you said so yourself.
Comments like this make me laugh but sure I’ll humor you. 1. Generic blonde sword guy was a Nord. A race within the Elder Scrolls. Please keep up. The mod is largely filled with Bretons, Redguards or Nords. All human like races. However, you can literally see an Orc model in the video up close. 2. Magic IS in the video. You can see flame atronach’s (summoning) and the projectile Magic for example. That is the extent of Magic. I said this in the video. (Beginning to notice a pattern) 3. The armor types? Oh so did you just ignore the divine crusader, Adamantium, or Dwemer armor IN the video? Did you close your eyes while I was wearing full reach armor? Do you need someone to hold your hand and say -> look armor. Or, again, you commented before you actually got to anything. 4. The video covers this characters personal story and the quests that I did as him along the way. I think it’s funny that you said I showed nothing interesting when I went through (albeit sometimes quickly to avoid spoiling the entire thing for you) various dungeons, questlines, and areas you can explore but sure, I showed nothing. In conclusion: this was a waste of my time because it sounds like you barely watched the video at all and then commented acting like I didn’t showcase anything the mod has to offer. I shouldn’t have bothered but on the off chance someone reads this and wonders why I didn’t reply, well here it is. Normally I wouldn’t care but when even the mod creator themself likes the video and takes the time to post it on the modb page then I’m sorry but you’re wrong. Now go play the mod and get out of my comments.

Yes. It’s like a throwing weapon!
Pro tip: never do cattle herding.
This is a good tip
Now i have reason to reinstall !
Medium armor gives athletics negative :))
Cool
Cinema
>the soundtrack is rather limited
Oh, just like actual Daggerfall!
>so i turned it off
Oh, just like actual Daggerfall!
Daggerfall has a pretty big soundtrack. It’s just the tracks are only like 60 seconds long hahaha
Good mod
Welp. Guess I'm reinstalling Warband.
The right move
is this even real?
Clearly?
No , it's all a dream

(Beginning to notice a pattern)
