I might be wrong, but I think that this is one of very few movies that used actual BRRRRRT sound of A-10.
I believe Man of Steel did that as well. It is very satisfying when the weapons make their actual sounds rather than some hollywierd bang bang.

Pretty cheezy, I laughed at the moto-terminators, and the aquatic ones were even worse. This is an average movie and not close to living up to the legacy.
People bashed Salvation but after genesys and dark fate, this one is a masterpiece.

Same I was shocked when he was able to easily chop through metal with an axe, then survive the Harvester bot smashing him into the ship and finally even tank being yeeted like that. I was like "wtf this guy is superhuman". Little did I know lol.

In this scene alone: The two motor terminators had plenty of chance to disable the wrecker's tires, but they decided no and instead continue the chase for no reason. Similarly, HK-A can disable the wrecker at higher altitude, but somehow it decided to dive in for that "cool shot" and get rekted instead.

it's because of how ridiculously high a bar was set by T-2. That's it. It's actually a pretty decent movie in it's own right.
People shat on Salvation, but it was a serious Terminator film, the only one that takes us to the post-apocalyptic future we always wanted to see
I'm a Terminator fanboy but the thing that annoyed me about this movie is that it kept throwing member berries at me.
I wanted it to be its own film but it felt like a nostalgia checklist. Something Jar Jar Abrams would do if he made it.
They even threw Marcus in as an improvised machine guardian for John Connor.
I don't hate it. I love it, but it still bugs me.
(Also I would have made the T-800 completely keyframed instead of mocap if I were in charge. T-RIP looks too fluid and natural. It even walks with a slight hunch.)
If it was based on the future wars from the Cameron films, then reception would've likely been better.

The action scenes could have been good but the explosions and crashing stuff is too overblown it seems just like a weak compensation for the lack of Plot
and it makes the action scenes cartoonish anyway
Tbh we got to see a huge variety of terminators in this movie compared to the others, that's what made it so unique and damn good
Notice that the reason Marcus caught Kyle (1:36) was because he had the gun in the way Marcus taught him the night they met, like he grabbed the gun, not his hand.

Got to respect this film's attempt at world-building and character development.
Every other sequel since T2 is just repeating the same tired tropes with bigger, dumber action scenes.
TG look like a fanfiction. The T1K was supposed to be a threat to anyone even to Skynet. Also Bob is better than Pops. Wish Salvation was made into a trilogy with third movie showing the TDE.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles was lit
I loved this movie... Darker and apocalyptic and different. Very well made too. If someone could replace Arnold as the main character, it was Christian Bale...A phenomenal actor. His action movies are just too good. It had a good storyline, acting, direction, terminators. What more did people want??

I always questioned why Skynet chose the motorbike as a weapon systems. It’s dangerous for humans but with an intelligent AI system it can perform to its full potential.
It’s a fast and nimble weapons system that can deliver deadly firepower when “chasing” humans.
I love the way the programming is so advanced they can skid under debris at high speeds but they can't hit a massive truck at point blank range.

They did. It just appears that their weapons weren't really rated against heavy commercial or utility vehicles. They burst one of the truck's tires and damaged the front, but that's it.
The mototerminators probably just redirect the wrecker to the planned ambush point. Remember that the Machines already detected Kyle Reese and Marcus before.

La bataille avec les chasseurs tueurs génial .Mais ma meilleur scène , le tir sur le camping car , whaouuuuuuuuuuuu une tuerie , jamais bataille n'aura été si réaliste .De manière générale , Salvation est un de mes préférés par la justesse des effets !

The CGI is crazy good
I like the Harvester and Moto-Terminators with one of the reasons being:
IT MAKES *SENSE*
Like- How do you make the Skin of T-800? Where you going to get something to replicate human skin? Probably nowhere, so what's the very next best thing? Humans. How you gonna get humans? You need a machine capable of Harvesting them but also durable enough to take quite a massive amount of punishment, and weaponry capable of destroying anyone who tries to get away on a speeding vehicle.
And what happens when they're out of a Harvesters Range? MOTO-TERMINATORS. Even not in a Harvester sense, just imagine the use in a war, where people could very well be on a speeding vehicle. Why waste the possibility of a Terminator getting destroyed focusing on a vehicle, when you have a Terminator that can chase one with a greater if not equivalent speed.
They may not work like that, but I'm just pointing out ideas that very well make their existence LOGICAL. like you know- *A machine is*
The Skynet machine design is Top-notch and inspired. The later movies had laughably bad designs but Genesis probably had the worst of all with the Spider Tanks.

I love the moto termiantor system analyzing and predicting its obstacles movements and hwo can it proceed should it stop or roll to avoid collison. The system so incredible.
This is the third best Terminator, even better than the Cameron-blessed last one with Linda Hamilton..
Salvation is the only film in the franchise that focuses on extended battles between Skynet and the resistance. They did a great job showing how warfare is conducted, but they're still only skirmishes. I wanna see all out war between the two factions - Skynet being numerically and technologically superior but the resistance being resourceful, cunning and effective in guerilla warfare, and scoring major wins and losses on both sides. That said, this scene does show very well how the momentum of success is constantly shifting between sides.

I like this film because most of the time, they used props over cgi. Which most film now do. Everyone should take the time to watch the making of this film

It's been said 100's of times before, but this movie is pritty awsome . cant understand all those so negative towards this installment of the Terminator saga. The actions scenes are wery well put together and the 'gritty' dirtly looks in the environment is perfect.

Moto terminators can do 250 plus MPH and probably faster than that. Catching that wrecker and taking it down would be a piece of cake. They have bulletproof tires and the body is completely indestructible. Moto terminators are probably one of the toughest terminators to defeat. Besides the "collector" terminator. Because it's a basically a bulletproof giant.
This is the best terminator and the only non-fiction part to this is that the A10 really is that tough
As a rule of thumb, you can't go into a comments section of a Terminator video and not see someone bashing on the sequels and how good the film in the video is.

This scene is a mix of Terminator and Mad Max. I thought the Moto-Terminators were a good addition to the franchise.
And I really like to see the Terminator Mech facing the wrath of an A-10.
The movie failed with the concept of giving Skynet a human face (the doctor that experimented on Marcus) and the convoluted plan of using Marcus to lure John Conner to "her". Skynet should have been left faceless and voiceless and by simply putting a bomb inside Marcus, Skynet could have used him as a perfect and infiltration unit.
The Terminator franchise skidded off the rails I think with this movie. If the franchises creators and directors had the foresight, they should have turned the whole franchise into a chess match. Skynet moves by trying to rewrite history; humanity moves (via John, Sarah, Kyle and even Marcus) to counter Skynet; Skynet uses time travel again to fix its previous miscalculation. They could have delved deep into some good sci-fi by revealing to the good guys that an advantage that Skynet has the advantage of gaining a step ahead of them with each new encounter (movie) and through each movie reveal the problem the good guys face isn't a matter of killing the next robot menace, but to try and outsmart and out move Skynet itself.

This is the inverse of the motorcycle chase against the big rig at the beginning of T2. Instead of a good "motorcycle robot" against a terminator steering a truck, it's bad moto-terminators against a good robot steering a truck...they even make an homage to the breaking through the overpass and crashing onto the street below....this scene has it all, man. The critics were deluded.

I always loved this movie, saw it in the cinema and am utterly impressed. I remember being in the minority for liking it, I feel at the time, the whole marvel/DC thing was just becoming a thing and Terminator movies didn't fit that type of super hero style and so it got, what I feel un necessary criticism. The sound in this film was the first thing that took me over, it was INCREDIBLE! One thing I noticed straight away in this scene is the Alien cross over on the motorbikes the front looks like a xenomorph skull! Nice touch I think, both entities - Terminators and Xenomorphs cold hard killers! Mind you I haven't seen any of the Terminatory movies after this movie, I had kids and haven't seen anything on t.v. or movies, even during the pandemic since giving birth to my first. I look forward to watching the next in the series.
