I just enjoy watching your cardmaking, you are brilliant. Your card is beautiful. A little tip for you, if your stitched dies won't release the cardstock, just use your flat end of the take your pick tool and gently run it between the card stock and the die from the inside and it will release without damage. Have a wonderful week. Anxious to see your next video next week.
"Pesky little creatures swam off" and "I don't want his eye looking at me" cracked me up! I love your videos Jan. You create some many great cards. This ranks up there as one of my favorites. TFS! Penny from the USA
A truly wonderful job it looks great everything came out wonderful watching you work as mesmerizing you are so good at what you do. Please keep it tutorials coming and they are absolute pleasure to watch. God keep you safe and happy crafting
Jan- That is a great card! Those windows are really cute with the turtles swimmimg through. Great tip on scoring the envelope as well, when the board is not long enough. Great card & really different! Thanks for showing the great details in this card!
Thanks Jan for sharing a great fun fold! Would love to case this from you if that's ok? My Grandson & my hubby's Uncle would love this card! Thanks again Jan - have a good week! :-)
Dear Jan, I really liked your "blond moment" cards too. Please don't be so hard on yourself ... Sorry for catching this so long after you streamed your video. You never make "fancy" folds, you make small works of art! This DSP is so nice, it has so many colours in it. Thank you ever so much for your consideration for watchers who do not have all the dies etc, giving the measurements - not to mention all the conversions in Imperial and other sizes. Love you for that! My plates are "well used" too, so that was a wonderful tip, especially for the acetate sheets. And using a post it note so as not to lose them! Do you also feel the liquid glue is ore runny in hot weather? I've seen a French colleague of ours getting glue off of the acetate, she used an oil based nail polish remover. She used a Q-tip with a very small amount of the remover on it and cleaned it off with an ordinary (blue) spray for cleaning glassy objects, again with a Q-tip. So, proof for the importance of not editing out small mistakes! The same lady had another great tip, which does takes some fussy work: she had these tiny clothes pins that are used to put up cards and what have you on a string, like for the Holidays, and glued very small bits of felt on the pinching sides to keep card together while the liquid glue was drying. That way, she explained, you won't get indentations on your card or specialty papers. Thank you so much for your wonderful card,it is stunning and I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Love from The Netherlands!
Many thanks for taking the time to share these tips, Ineke. Someone also shared that rubbing alcohol can be used to remove glue from acetate as well. That's an excellent idea for the clothes pegs and felt. TFS. xx
Thanks for sharing lots of creative videos! I’m taking a poll of you famous SU papercrafters/videographers to help me decide how to replace my 12 year old SLOW, cantankerous laptop. I’m planning to do SU videos, and would really appreciate your recommendations for Mac vs PC, desktop vs laptop, Switcher Studio vs Ecamm or OCS., etc. I have an iPhone XS and an iPad Pro, so I want to be able to use multiple cameras along with the computer. I’m old and really need a big screen and a detachable keyboard so I’m worried about getting a laptop... recommendations? Pros, cons, anything? Thanks so much!
Hi, Kelley. I keep it simple! I use a Samsung camcorder and UA-cam for "editing"! I never speed up parts and never cut out parts. I publish my videos "raw" but just add the measurements, products used, etc. I hope this helps. xx
Hi, Jackie. I have a bad happy of putting my glue down and not putting the lid back on! I'm often having to unclog the hole because it keeps getting more and more narrow! 😀 xx
@@janbcards I am not talking about uncloging my glue, I am talking about how do u make the stream come out so slow? My glue seems to come out much faster than urs.
@@jackiepugh7475 Hi, Jackie. Yes, I realise that's what you're asking. I think what happens with mine is that there is a thin coating of glue around the inside of the nozzle making the space for the glue to come through smaller, therefore it's slower. Eventually slower becoms stop and I have to unclog! Then it starts coming out fast again. I don't do anything special - that I can think of - so it's either that or maybe I don't squeeze the bottle too much. xx
Many thanks, Crafty Mamar. Yes, that's one of my concerns too but I don't worry about sending them to my family - they always know their cards will be a bit of a puzzle! xx
Hi, Jan. Just started making this card yesterday and I am wondering if there is any particular reason that the DSP on the base piece cannot be all one piece. I am probably missing something, but just thought I would ask! 🤣
No worries, Diane. I had to do it in two pieces because the Designer Series Paper I was using was 6" x 6" and therefore not big enough for one piece. xx
Love this fancy fold Jan.. as well as this bundle. Thanks for sharing..
Many thanks, Sharie. xx
Thank you, Jan for naming this card Tony's Bay Window card - very appropriate! Also thank you for giving me credit! Hugs Maria x
My pleasure, Maria. I believe in credit where credit's due. It's a great card. TFS. xx
