I am a lifelong hapkido practitioner and can verify this is kuk sool. However, there was a brief time kuk sool and hapkido attempted to unify, which fell apart. This video may be in that time period.

When I started 1967 it was Kuk Sool Won Hapkido. And today in the Busan Area of Korea it's still Kuk Sool Won Hapkido

Both Current grand Masters studied under the Hapkido Grand master. They were class mates, but Kuk Sool has more techniques, from ancient Korea.

Back in the late 90’s, I had about two years of informal instruction from a Coworker who was a high level KukSoolWon black belt. Most of what I learned escapes me now, as I didn’t pursue it farther but I definitely recognize most of these moves. Also did quite a bit of staff and sword training.
When learning falling and rolling, my coworker dove head first off the bumper of a straight truck and rolled into the grass. Quite an impressive person and Martial Art.

It would seem Korea would have top knotch Hapkido. I seen Tae Kwon Do guys from Korea, they were simply a blur. Seen blood fly, but only 1 of 4 or 5 judges claimed to see the strike.

Hapkido Breathing techniques and hand techniques could help your condition. When older the hand approach to defending and attacking works real good with core focus breath techniques which is Ki base on DO mental fuse forming and directing.
There is a real old master in Canada who knows how to use energy flow within techniques. Look up Eagle Hapkido. The KI focus part of hapkido with DO is very powerful. Palm stiles is deadly if you use energy as the force NOT muscle. Calmness allows energy flow and direction within Hapkido.
Finding out what Hap, really reflects then combined with KI which is core breathing and core activation with Do mental mindful direction of one coordinated energy flow to hands feet with in movement form to project power and strength.

This was the Hapkido dojang of GM Park Jeong Yeob in Mangyeong/Korea. This dojang does not exist anymore but GM Park has a new dojang in Gimje (near Mangyeong).

@@gerberfx that's interesting because I studied kuksoolhapkido in Korea.... South Korea, and we wore the black uniforms. And our hyungs, at least up to 1st dan, looked identical. The breathing exercises (rock exercises) looked identical. The shirts we were issued has the kuksool logo. Was there a split among the original kuksool scools?
