Also bridge should be heated before prising off to avoid splitting the wood of the soundboard. As well as putting protection under the tool to avoid dents.
A classical’s bridge is glued on with hit hide glue. You just need gentle heat to remove it. Glue it on with the same and NEVER pry one off. You damaged the bottom. Now the vibration won’t transfer as well to the sound board (top). Always use a reversible glue on a wood instrument, not PVA or wood glue. Frets can handle a bit of superglue-reverse it correctly.
Couldn't agree more - was cringing as she snapped that bridge off dry and heard the wood underneath crunch.... Was also sad to see the worn out and broken tuning machines just slapped back on and not replaced. Smacking the nut off broadside was painful to watch too. Her fret work in other videos looks OK but she doesn't seem to know how to do other repairs like this properly. I suppose you could get away with doing things this way on cheap guitars but I wouldn't call yourself a luthier if you do.
Відмінна робота, 🤗 і саме прикольно що залишився пошарпаний часом кольоровий шнурочок, мабуть для власника, чи (власниці) він має велике значення! 😊 Танюша, як завжди молодчинка! 👍
exactly I have this type of guitar. it's made in 1982 in Soviet Union. it exactly looks like this but it has dots on its frets( 5th 7th and 10th 12th). but mine is acoustic! it feels so good! but mine needs proper restoration too :)
You should have a shirt showing out line of woman’s face with stethoscope on a guitar and read Dr Tanya with caption Luthier Dr of guitar restoration surgery lol definitely fits
Just curious what the make of that guitar was. My father has a Guild Mk II classical that has a warped neck. It’s currently playable but the action is high. Wondering what could be done to fix the bow in the neck….no truss rod.
@@camilo1455 yes true, fishglue will work also as well as titebind, but in the video it looked like super glue and I wanted to know if it can also be used for those purposes
I might mention that Tanya uses titebond in another video , so that could be what she's using now (I didn't ) see that on my mobile phone so please take a bit of my previous comments with a pinch of salt. Tanya seems to have a lot of experience for a young person so thumbs up to her!!!
Great Job just remember to use the spachula on each side of the bridge pulling it up one way pulls those little fingers of wood up from under it. That way you can reglue the pieces and crosscheck the bottom of the saddle for a clean and strong bond to the top. Clean and Vaseline the gears and pegs.
This restauration deserves a long version. 😊

In case anyone wonders, this is a guitar build by a master luthier. So this was definitely worth getting repaired!

It still needs to be tuned 1,647 more times.
So calming to watch
Holy shit that tear out on the bridge!
Excellent job! I can't believe that bridge is held on there strictly with glue
Nice resto! Also your nails are really pretty😊
Great job. Wanted to hear it.
oh there is a long version Fred----girl got skills
Where is the long version? I was very much looking forward to it.

Love your work...very rewarding.
I restorated my shoes recently. I changed the string. Was perfect restoration.
That bridge come off really nice.
You got my sub!
white glue is a no no for gluing guitar bridges, you'll get creep and it'll come off again. Use titebond or hide/bone glue.
Also bridge should be heated before prising off to avoid splitting the wood of the soundboard. As well as putting protection under the tool to avoid dents.
Да и струбциной не мешало бы поджать, а то заклеила пва. Ну для нейлона может и сойдëт а так, халтура
It would be more satisfying if you stopped hammering frets and used a press!
I was waiting to hear it, missing the best part.

Maybe the owner wanted to keep the original top-coat finish. Using a heated knife would have marred the finish.
@@sparrks1look up @twoodfrd, his videos are amazing. He does it all including removing bridges with heat without damaging nitro finishes

Can I send my guitar to you?
I’d be too afraid to do any of this, cause I wouldn’t know how to put it back together.

do you mind diving into how you got started with luthiery?
Im not satisfied until i heard those guitar sings.....at least a strum to give those dead guitar a proof they really get back into life...

You should periodically change your strings.
This guy:
It'd be nice to strum a chord at the end of this short, just an E major chord to hear how the guitar sounds.
It looks simple but it is not. Just by pulling up the frets can cause damage if you don't have experience.

Titebond be better -- I believe the experts prefer horsehide?

Separating the bridge from the top without any heat involved?????
If it starts to come off already - there is no need of heat, especially if it`s an really old guitar.
That’s a strange acoustic with nylon strings..?
It's a classical not a dreadnought
@@TomTomTomTom538 yeah I know, that was my point
U work so fast....how about the long version ?
You're supposed to strum it once at the end
Can I ask what kind of glue is the glue used to stick the saddle and what kind of pliers are the pliers for taking the keys on the fretboard?
Was that plastic string?
Can we repair the classic guitar crooked neck ?
