I mean ATL had room to grow and mature. Excluding the "Posse" album NWA wasn't really able to grow/mature as musically with the three projects released. Compared to ATL who had already taken vast steps starting from the first album to '96. Also didn't help that the guys in NWA imploded over their egos and macho shit. Unlike the ATL guys who were tightknit from the get-go because they had come up together.
