Le talent ne fatigue jamais, en tout cas pas à moi, surtout quand il s'illustre par des qualités exceptionnelles telles que celles d'un Jonas Kaufmann...Par contre la médiocrité qui ne manque pas de nos jours, en bien des domaines, m’exaspère et finit effectivement par me fatiguer....Mais bien sur rien a voir avec notre fabuleux ténor, et ce beau duo d'amour si bien interprété également par Angela Gheorghiu, qui fut souvent décriée...Merci pour ce partage...
Its so interesting about Pinkerton's character. I would not say he is 'not a nice man'. He is certainly not a villain, like Scarpia or Jago! He is a young man, insensitive and perhaps selfish. But at this moment in the opera - having seen her disowned by the family - I believe that he really does feel something real for her. He is very sexually charged, but I also think there's more. Sure he forget it next day, but at least he feels bad in the end! ;0
When and where was this recorded, please? They are singing wonderfully. If only one could get tickets to the upcoming Tosca in Vienna. But it is years later--that will be interesting too.
