the reason people find targets the big coil missed is usually because they use the little coil second, they all miss targets, its in the design. you can create scenarios they both will miss, they find most targets the same, only a few kind of targets they have an advantage over the other. the best thing is to have various size coils, but they aren't "better" than the other, just can find different targets, but not that often, go in with the little coil first, then use the big coil and you'll get an odd target you missed. they will both get 95% of each others targets.

Great video mate, I've owned the 11 inch coil and 9 inch coiled D2's since release but just bought the 13x11 coil. Can't wait to get out in the field myself and do some real target testing with all 3 coils. I totally agree with everything you say here and I found this test very interesting although like yourself I personally hate bench testing. People generally because they've seen a video of a Branded machine finding something awesome they fall into the naive belief that it's the only machine that would have found it. I've found the most gold with my first Garrett ACE400 machine, loads of awesome finds with the Garrett ATpro, and as many awesome finds with my Deus II's (both 9 inch and 11inch) the fact of it all is you have to walk over it, doesn't matter what machine you're using unless its a real cheap piece of crap. Anyway I'm waffling, Kudos on this video mate very interesting
thanks for the nice comment all i will say is it takes a little more finess on some targets but for the coverage its well worth that little extra effort on a target and after a few sessions with it you will have it nailed good luck on your next hunt
Well said Kilner. People can biased even when they don't want to be. It is hard to be truly impartial. Your videos have been informative. I'd enjoy watching and listening to some tones as you are swinging the coil over targets in the wild.
The one thing I wish you had done, was to remove the coin. At least from the camera angle, both coils seemed to be falsing on the elevated nail, as opposed to hitting the coin.
Great vid and very true , I know 2 over seas testers all they seem to do is xp machines and they have a manticore 2 , but no comparison videos . This will be because they had a free detector off both companies
