Jazz in GW ?! Well that doesn't happen everyday!!!! I hope it happens again :D
ill never understand this music but i can appreciate its craftsman ship
Learn it
Great playing but just too much all at once, more like a demo than a tune, I can see why The Beatles crushed Jazz in the 1960's.
1000 notes for one person
Anus Repair Man You don’t play jazz because you want to be famous, you play it because you love it
Dude...that intro bit...I'll start the slow clap...
*applause*
...that was friggin amazing.
Damn, he's lit. Good for him if he can do it like that.
Made me feel so mediocre.
awesome, GW. really hope to see more jazz stuff like this in the future. very fun video.
Cool, thanks. Perry did 3 lessons for us, so those will be rolling out over the course of the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
What's with the rock intro?
This is not what I would call a LESSON ! Just a demo of how fast you can play !
Utube guitar hero’s playing the pentatonic scale over and over with massive distortion & effects …
Leave it to a jazz player to make a Hard Rock/Blues player feel like he can't play for shit!
Great version of It could happen to you
Perry, where can I buy your CD? I love your playing.
So far beyond my understanding and ability to play.....I give up!
At first I thought. I cannot hear the melody line. I thought this sound like a static chord where are the changes? Right when I thought I can't hear the chords. You blasted over them outlining them Great. Great JOB.
The intro seems to be So What or Impression. It only has two chords (modal jazz).
Awesome lesson Perry.Just one thing what is the 'one of your favourite standards' you played?
Hi Paul, sorry for the late reply. There are hundreds of standards I enjoy playing. If I had to pick one, I might say "Nobody Else But Me" because it has such great changes. Thanks for tuning in!
The toneeeeeeeeeeee
Great video!
No doubt Mr.Simth is a great player....but this was a show of him.....not a lesson...
great playing,nice tone
Great tone from a wonderful ES175...!
It's beautiful~
Brilliant stuff
is there always a swing in jazz?
Steven Austin usually yes but some tunes might specify straight eighth notes
I feel stupid just listening to jazz lol...
why lol
really softballs the bass player in
❤️
wow!
he got the good gear
One thing I find with some jazz guitarists is that they swing every beat, sometimes a solo swings more if you play a little straighter
