Respect to the rescue people, and respect to the family , they learned a lesson and seem like great people who care for their dog. Hope he makes full recovery and is back being a talkative husky!

Please don’t take your pets hiking when it is very HOT outside

Why would he take his dog on a hike on a hot day. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m happy he is okay. Lesson learned buddy.

Maybe don’t take ur dog hiking when it’s HOT AF!! But as a Husky owner, thank you for exercising your dog, huskies are extremely energetic and need extreme exercise, you guys are great dog parents ❤️

I've seen people bringing their pugs on hikes. That's like torture for them.

Please be mindful of their sensitive paws on the scorching hot pavement.

People are so stupid, clueless, and have zero common sense these days. If it’s scorching hot outside who thinks , yeah ima take my dog who has a FUR COAT and has their bare paws on the burning hot floor on a 1hr+ hike? Seriously I hope people wake up and gain some common sense

    Common mistakes:
    - Fur coats in the heat.
    - Bare paws on hot ground.
    - Off leash.
    - Insufficient water.
    - No bags to pick up 💩
    - Can’t bother carrying the bags, then forgetting them on the way back
    - No flea/tick treatment

      COMMON sense.
But so many people walk their dogs in extreme heat, and off leash in trails.
Your dog sees a wild squirrel and it chases that thing off a cliff, that's ALLLL on you.
KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH PEOPLE !

To be fair to this guy, seems like he had his dog on a leash, just ran out of water.
But should have thought twice going hiking with a dog in hot weather.
Their body temperature is higher than humans.

@@SlimJim-bw3ib I was just listing what I’ve seen… and learned the hard way to not do.
But… he was carrying the dog and stumbled. If he had a leash in hand, it might have limited the fall, but that assumes a firm grip, which is easy to lose when you’re falling.

@@ricksonora6656 No, I agree with you completely. Just a general guideline for EVERY dog owners out there.
Having your dog on a leash might be the easiest out of that list, and yet, from my own observation, I'd say a GOOOD 25~30% of the people can't be bothered to do it.
      # is ALOT higher when you go to an area populated by young adults.
At least older people seem to understand the many potential scenarios that can result from having an off leash dog, not to mention obedience to laws.
      Young people? Can't be bothered.

I dont see a collar or leash on the dog-dogs are supposed to be on a leash at all times in the park.

hiking in 100-degree weather....just brilliant. Thanks for wasting taxpayer dollars and putting the rangers' lives at risk. smh

The dog doesn’t mean EVERYTHING to them because they took the poor thing out on a record heat day without enough water on top of everything else🤬. How clueless can you be?

The family is very stupid for taking a husky dog out in the heat on a long walk and then running out of water. Stupidity at its worst. Huskies are meant for cold weather so taking it in the heat is beyond ignorant.
