I loved this video, I wished you could have put some images of the finished coat at the end of the video. I have noticed that most of your videos end without them. It could help us a bit more to see the finished product. Thanks.
My pattern arrived yesterday & I have cut the tissue paper, the fabric I have ordered should arrive in a couple of days, so having watched this tutorial, I can't wait to get started. I found it really helpful. It would been nice to see you model it at the end.
Now I know why some people read the comments before watching the video. Had I read the comments first, I would not have wasted time watching this video since it doesn't show the finished garment. I vaguely remember seeing this a few years ago and started avoiding all these videos. But I just got a crash course reminder why I have been avoiding Mimi G videos. Too bad, I really like the style of the outfits, but I can do without the frustration of not having closure.
Mimi G. In India we use the word Ji after the name as a sign of respect. This is exciting. I’ve just got this pattern to make some over coats for my adult daughter. My question is how do I make this with a lining. As Indians we have some really wonderful pure silk but they definitely need lining. Any advice will be appreciated.
The only thing I dislike is not seeing the finished garment. Even if you don’t try it on seeing the finished look would help sell these patterns more. Aside from that I love the tutorial.
I Enjoyed this TUTORIAL, THANK YOU FOR THE DARTS ,I HAD SO MUCH TROUBLE WITH DARTS AN THAT TYPE OF SLEEVE. I LOVE IT. I WILL BE MAKING AN SHARING THIS TUTORIAL 👍👍👍👍👍

So patten piece #13 (E-Vest) all have it on the fold, but there are notches. Me being a beginner did just what I was told- to slit notches and now there’s holes in the fabric and it doesn’t appear that it should be that way. Help!!
Mimi you mentioned about notches on the top part of the upper sleeve. On my pattern piece for the upper sleeve there are no notches there. However there are some dots.
hi i used the pattern butterick b5473 and thought i would make the vest with fleece polyester spandex fabric, well it was made my me , and it went out of shape at the bottom ,should i have not made it with this fabric , if pattern said to sew with cotton blends and linen ,,it did not call for a strectch fabric. would this be the reson for this out of shape vest

The back would look a 100% better if you had matched the pattern up on the back seam because this fabric has such a dominant design.
