Remember it is Marlene who leaves and goes to California and it was Rebecca who screwed the guy in the clothes room. Marlene and Rebecca had a real good thing going but the writers of the soap opera could not stand to have things end in a nice way like "The Rich Man's Daughter"! I think counting Carla and Hanna and Carla and Susanne and Nicole and Maia, and Jay and Maia , and Maia and Lana, and Nicole and Harper. All of these soap operas would up like Marlene and Rebecca. Broken and left in tears and pieces.

However that may not work in M & R's favour as a second same sex relationship in VL. Personally, i'd like to see two female characters, together, happy & develop over a long period and see an actual relationship unfold, not just bugger off or split up, but i dont think soaps are ready for that yet.
