USAGE:
If your project (any project at all, movie, photography, websites, live shows etc.) is non-commercial, which means it doesn't earn you any money, then you can use my music for free. Only given credits are necessary, that's the only condition. Credits would be totally fine as a small text in the movie, website etc. written "Music by Adrian von Ziegler". In live shows and other projects where including a text would be difficult, an oral mention would suffice as well. =)
On UA-cam and twitch you can also use my music for free even if you monetize your videos by the way!
ANY school projects have automatic free permission to use my music, no license payment is required.
If the project is commercial, meaning it makes money in any way (except UA-cam and twitch, see above), you would have to buy a license for the music you want to use. The license payment would be small in almost all cases except for big budget productions. It would be a one-time payment, so you can use the music you bought forever in that project. It does not give you any rights over the music however, so remixing the music, re-selling it etc. is not allowed.
Giving credits is also necessary in commercial projects.
Please note that "for free" only applies to the usage license. Music is my full-time job and is where 100% of my earnings come from. So no matter what you use my music for, whether it's commercial or non-commercial use, I appreciate that you purchase the music instead of downloading it for free. Many people misunderstand this part so I need to clear this up. I love making music, but if everyone would just get it for free I would not be able to pay rent, so please understand. It was always my dream to make enough money to survive with music being my only job, and that is only possible because of people who go and buy that music.
Remixing, sampling and other forms of altering the original song into a new piece of music is also generally not allowed unless the remix is 100% non-commercial and labelled with the original title and author of the song (me). Adding bird noises, nature sounds or similar things are allowed. Nightcore alterations are also allowed while non-commercial and labelled with original title and author (Google "Nightcore" in case of confusion).
So if your project is non-commercial or a UA-cam project, just give credits and there is nothing holding you back from using my songs. ANY song you want. =) If it's commercial stuff just write me a personal message or an email at adrianvonziegler@gmx.ch and inform me about the scale and details of the project and we'll make a deal.

I have recently made a very good experience with collaborating with other artists and am now - carefully - open to requests. Please note before sending me a request that any agreement will have to assure me a high level of control and independence over the composing process and certain copy- and intellectual rights over any composition that has been created on request (this entails for example that I can still upload and sell any music that I composed for a given project).
Important:
I do not allow my music to be used in any project that has a clear political, racist or discriminatory message or is pornographic. By that I mean anything that goes from direct political, racist or discriminatory videos or underlining speeches with my music, onto remixing my melodies into a song that has lyrics with clear political, racist or discriminatory message and similar things that clearly promote these things. Same goes for explicit pornography. Media with nude art is allowed, if not pornographic in nature and purpose.

Dear friend, my journey into the past begun within 5 seconds of listening to your music..... let the journey begin.
The candle gently illuminated the hall as Catherine sleepily made her way to the study. The door was cracked; a sure sign that her beloved Emmanuel was, once again, awake far later than he promised he would be. Sure enough, when she poked her head in, he was knelt in front of the window, peering out from behind the curtain with his theater glass as he had been doing the past two weeks.
"Darling, what are you-?"
Catherine was quickly shushed. "The light, Catherine!" he hissed.
With a sigh, she snuffed out the candle and left it upon the desk as she approached. "Emmanuel," she tried again, "come to bed. Please."
He completely ignored her, squinting as he peered closer at the neighboring estate. "More have come through the gateway," he stated. "Two, three... no, five more."
Catherine frowned. "That's five more lost souls, then. They can't go back the way they came. You know that."
"Perhaps they might," Emmanuel replied thoughtfully.
Feeling his beloved's concerned gaze upon him, Emmanuel finally slipped aside, offering her the theater glass. "This group is not like the other wanderers. The others were lost. Bewildered this world exists. But them? They are unfazed to this world's magic. They arrive with purpose. Look."
Catherine hesitated, but took the glass. She knelt beside her dearest, trying her best to keep out of sight as she, too, peered out toward the neighboring estate.
For the past two weeks, new strangers had been appearing out of the building, ones who were not created in this world. Ones who had accidentally slipped through a portal to this world with little idea of how to escape. But these men and women were far different. They looked more like soldiers or mercenaries, armed and geared for battle rather than to explore the gallery that comprised this realm. Unlike the other visitors who wandered in with a sense of wonder and curiosity, this group was comprised of hardened individuals who were clearly on edge.
"Do you think they are here to find the lost ones?" Catherine asked in a hushed voice.
"It doesn't matter if they are or not," Emmanuel grinned. "What matters is if they know how to get in here, they may very well know a way back out of it."
The theater glass dropped slowly as realization trickled in. Catherine's wide-eyed gaze turned to her beloved.
"Do you mean-?"
"Yes, my dearest. At last, we have a way to escape this maddening world."

Your music honestly helps keep the nightmares at bay when I sleep
When other music fails, I can always listen to one of your pieces for some good old writing inspiration
My story turned out to be that of exploring a forest of crystalline trees in the full moon's light, in which several ghostly shapes appear and draw you towards a clearing where a young girl is playing the enchanting music to summon the spirit of a great owl in order to bless the forest after which they all walk back among the trees and fade away.
Beautiful and enchanting as always. A delightful story to listen to before heading to class! ^_^
Years have come and gone, as have people I once held dearly in my life. Both myself and people I know have changed so quickly and drastically.
But Adrian's music remains a constant - I found it back in 2013. For all the good and bad times in my life, it's almost as if Mr. Ziegler's divine melodies have been an underlying soundtrack to it all.
That's just a little ramble haha we all love Adrian :)

I usually don't music like this (I mean atmosphere) but that one has something very special and to be honest I cried. It reminds me my old friend and her funeral a lot. Thank you Adrian for all od the emotions.

Listening tog this song, I see a forest with dryads sitting peacefully in their trees, the moonlight bathing everything in a shimmery silver glow.
Avant de dire quoi que ce soit d'autre, ce morceau est juste splendide. J'imagine personnellement un lac, une nuit sombre et une pleine lune, le tout au milieu d'une forêt de contes. AugustinC - Music & Sound Design Yes, I do. I try to "escape" from reality through books, music, writing, drawing and videogames... It's like having lots of hobbies! :)
Yes I see your point ; ) In your opinion, why "reality" is so difficult to face ?
Problems, problems and more problems... Always problems... And that troubles make you feel stressed and really nervous. When you pass them, you feel ok, but then, you see that problems weren't as difficult as you thought (in most cases). Other thing that happens with some people (me included) is that you don't find your place in this world, sometimes I feel that even my closest friends fail sometimes... Not like in fantasy. Because I had different likes, I didn't have friends in school. They sent me out from the groups of friends and I was mostly alone. Why? Because I had other likes and I loved to think that I was living in another world. In fantasy, most times, there's always a friend (a real friend) that never fails... In our planet, that's imposible. The only one that can understand you and that is that real friend in the reality is the family (and I know some cases in which even the family fails).
I don't know if you understand me, but my problem isn't that I want fantasy to come to this world... I want to go to the world of fantasy. I think we all love fantasy in the bottom of ourselves because reality isn't what we want. But, clearly, each one has his or her own fantasy world
