Agree, these Galaxy/Best Service pianos are really great and hold up well despite their age. However, the first one you played was actually the Galaxy Steinway, not the Vintage D. The Vintage D is also a Steinway, but an older model from (I believe) the 1920’s. Both are good, but I think the Vintage D is actually the best out of all the 4. The Bluthner baby grand also has a unique tone that is quite lovely. Anyway, glad to see some attention being thrown to these old gems and fantastic playing as always!
Galaxy Pianos, among the best piano vst to play and listen to in my opinion; at the end of the day I always come back to them, the two Steinways in particular. Simeon, I'd recommend to get the Vintage D, the first one you play is actually the Steinway D (which is a new Hamburg D, names are a bit confusing). Thank you for your review!
I contacted Best Service. No difference from Galaxy II. Just a repackaging of the instruments. I personally think they still hold up well compared to many current VSTs interms of tone and playability, though the interface looks a bit dated. Here's the full text of the response I received: The Galaxy III versions you mentioned include all the pianos that were available in the Galaxy II series. The only change is that the Galaxy Steinway II has been replaced by the Galaxy Vintage D. As a result, the name has changed from Galaxy II to Galaxy III, but there are no additional costs or new features for existing users. In short: You already have all the pianos, and no upgrade is necessary.
Your piano skills are amazing. You could play on a drawing of a piano and still make it sound incredible.
I missed some of this broadcast but now that I'm hearing it that piano rings out very well.
Anche questo un bellissimo pianoforte, anche se ho il mio preferito in mente! 🎵😃
Quale?

Thank you, Jonathan. I will have to see about checking out the Vintage D as it was a little confusing. Joyfully yours!
Simeon I agree the piano sonds as some kind of a zing ring about it. Regards Andre from SA

Argo, OK, thanks, it is confusing ;^) I will definitely check to see if I can get a copy of the Vintage D. Always appreciate the support.
Best Service has a Galaxy III version now, running under Kontakt. Any idea what the differences are between Galaxy III and the original Galaxy II?
Ooooo 😲I have not heard about that one. I will check it out. Thanks for watching.
