My takeaway from this sermon is that this message is a message of application. After joining the body of Christ, it is one of the jobs of the Holy Spirit to prepare us to serve as a beacon in the world in order to further the expansion of the Kingdom. He is the power, we are the conduit thru which He travels and connects to the world. In our lives, God wants us to work with Him, and He gladly gives us a meaningful purpose and part to play in the family. Our primary role is to grow in our relationship with God and allow Him to work thru us to reach our unconnected brethren.
PURPOSE: the reason for which something was (created) or for which something exists. Long before God had created the Heavens and Earth, He had the foreknowledge that Adam would allow himself to become deceived by Satan’s craftiness. His disobedience to the Lord’s will had caused the entire human race to descend into a fallen state of rebellion against the Lord's righteousness decrees. By default the human race had became subjected to the supernatural act of growing older and dying. In the Lord’s divine provisions for creation He had NEVER intended for mankind to die, which has made dying an unnatural occurrence (Mark 12:27). Every human being who was born after Adam would automatically inherit a God hating nature that opposes the righteousness of Christ. The word hate in that regard is used to describe our (former) state of being hopelessly subjected to our depraved fallen nature (Isaiah 53:3). Prior to the Lord replacing our former hearts of sin and rebellioness (Ezekiel 36:26), we (were) all enemies of God because of our natural tendencies to do the things that were not pleasing in His sight (Romans 3:10) (Romans 5:10). It is that particular verse that explain the reason why unconverted sinners are UNABLE to naturally desire RIGHTEOUSNESS and come to Christ for SALVATION, (unless) His Father in Heaven FIRST draw them to Him through the preaching of the gospel (John 6:44) (Romans 1:16). Extending a spiritual lifeline out to sinners is the sole PURPOSE for preaching the Gospel!! (Jude 3). The lifesaving Gospel of Jesus Christ was (created) as an effective method to SAVE sinners from the sin of unbelief, as well as saving them from a lifestyle of disobedience to His divine will. As Christians, we must not forget that believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ does not necessarily mean that we will have to demonstrate FAITH on certain occasions, it literally means that we WILL have to LIVE our lives by faith until the Lord returns to claim His beloved bride, the church (Romans 1:17). The human embodiment of Christ, better known as (Immanuel / God with us) had (existed) for the sole PURPOSE of SAVING His people from their destructive sins through the preaching of the gospel (Matthew 1:22). If it were not so, then the PURPOSE of commissioning Godly preachers would not have any true significance in terms of salvation (Romans 10:14). 📖 John 3:16 📖 “For God so LOVED the world, that He gave His only Begotten Son, that (whoever) BELIEVES in Him (the word) should NOT perish but have eternal life. The word LOVED is in references to the Father demonstrating His LOVE by giving us the Gospel TRUTH to live our lives by (John 1:1) (John 14:6). Where there is no preached Gospel, there is no LOVE!! 📖 1John 4:14 📖 And we have SEEN and testify that the Father has sent His Son to (be) the SAVIOR of the world. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is NOT just some historical event that had taken place over 2000 years ago on Calvary, it is the essential life long TEACHINGS of Jesus Christ our Lord! …..and why we MUST CONTINUE applying those teachings to our daily lives in order to validate our SALVATION in Him as our SAVIOR (Matthew 24:13). Never forget that (if) the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is NOT being taught and revealed to us regularly, then it is only because we (are) on our way to perishing in hell, as a result of us (not) learning about the TRUE God of the Bible (John 17:3). This is the exact reason why the Gospel is so important to know in order to ENSURE our eternal salvation! (2 Corinthians 4:3). 📖 1 Corinthians 9:16,17 📖 16 For when I preach the GOSPEL, I cannot boast, since I am compelled (by Christ) to preach. Woe (great sorrow) to me (if) I DO NOT PREACH the gospel! 17 If I preach voluntarily, I have a reward; if not voluntarily, I am simply discharging the TRUST committed to me. (by Christ). (John 17:3). Jesus calls himself the beginning of the creation of God (Revelation 3:14): Yes, Jesus himself is the first that was brought forth from the inactiveness of God’s foreknowledge and was given life from God (John 5:26, John 6:57). Jesus calls his Father God over and over again…so much so that it is _impossible_ to miss it unless they do not have God’s Holy Spirit to reveal the truth. Instead, they remain blinded by Satan and immersed in their own misconceptions. Jesus said “to him that overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and write upon him the new name of my God, and the city of my God which is new Jerusalem which comes down from heaven from my God” (Revelation 3:12). Just as Jesus speaks in Revelation 3:8, only those who have kept his word, and have not denied his name, but say the same as he has said, only they shall overcome. Jesus is *NOT* God.
