    Love this video. You also explained the why behind slip trailing. It makes a piece special and adds a tactile element to your piece. This is meaningful to the user ❤

      Thank you Laura, artists pour their hearts into the pieces they create, and it can be felt by the user. I saw people pick up pottery at the show and hold it close to their hearts and often not even want to have it packed because it feels so good to them, so special

    What great ideas Izabela! The toughest part is getting the slip just the right consistency and having the muscle strength for consistent trailing. You have it down!

      Thank you Ann. It's so true about the slip's cosistency, I got it through trail. The muscle strenght is true too, and cleaning the tips very well to keep it flowing smoothly

      That is great. And wouldn't reach so many without your thumbnail and a title you gave me. Thank you for your encouragement and guidance, I'm going to do my best to utilize my gifts to create content that people find inspiring

    What a very nice video! I have not followed your vids before, so I did not have very high expectations, but your video has exceeded! I appreciate your candor, and gentle encouragement for us to deepen our experiences and recognize the potential communication between user and maker - thank you for this! And I too recently, "dusted of my trailer" bottle...and found you!

      Thank you so much for such a wonderfully heartwarming comment! Your words encourage me to continue creating. It makes me happy knowing that you were inspired to think about the recipient of your talents. Isn't it wonderful, artist share their gifts to bring joy to others. We truly are blessed that way. I hope your dusted out trailer bottle will bring you moments of joyful creation that will be surely felt by those who get to use it!

    I enjoyed your peaceful video. Can you tell me what type tool you used for the slip trailing? The name of the bulb, the size and the size of the needle? Do you have a video how to make slip trail as well? Thank you.

      Hello Bill, I'm glad to hear from you. I used The Xiem 3oz. (84mL) Precision Applicator and used gauges 18 & 16 I believe. I am in Canada and purchased in from PSH, here's a link:

      Sorry, I do not have a video about the technique of slip trailing, but perhaps I will make it in the future! There's a lot of nuances into the technique itself that I've learned so it would be worth while sharing.Thank you for watching and your kind words,
      Izabela

    Do you actually touch the pot?

    • @gaeangardensbyizabela
      @gaeangardensbyizabela 7 місяців тому

      Hello Margaret, I try not to touch the pot with the tip of the trailer and rather hover over the surface, very close but not quite touching. However, it isn't always ideal, and sometimes I touch it accidentally! Feel it out and see how it goes, enjoy and let me know if you try it
