How to drive safely. How to pass
This video is filmed during a driving lesson. It is filmed for educational purposes.
Throughout the video there are highlights to show how you should be driving safely.
I hope this video will be useful! :)

This is a great testament to how well you can do on a driving test if you prepare by watching mock tests
A really good drive from a qualified driver even although he admits that he wouldn’t normally drive that way but knows he should because he’s seen Amans videos. It just shows the power of these mock tests videos.
Its a Automatic..He should drive with Manual..Everybody can look good with automatic Car
@@Lesane11 ?
@@Lesane11 Its knowing what to do on the road though. Doesnt matter if he is in an Automatic or not. Its knowing how to drive on the road safely and knowing what to do in certain situations.

My instructor and I would always comment on the cars on display as we went to the test centre, this video is great!
I always learn something from these! The dual carriageway classification was new to me, it's good to know
Thank you for all your videos Aman! I spent hours watching mock tests to prepare myself for my test today which I managed to pass after 15 hours of lessons with 2 minors! I am so happy, certainly couldn't have done it without your videos!
Awesome! I’m currently at 13 hours and still feel a bit clueless so shout out to you!
@@deez8736 thank you! I was lucky I had the chance to practice in my own car as well outside of lessons which really helped. Good luck for your driving journey though learning to drive was honestly the best thing I did this year I love the freedom I now have!
🎉I think I've had about 20 hours of driving lessons and I've bought my own car now so considering stopping the driving lessons as my instructor basically just says keep up with your mirrors. At the cost of £36 an hour😂
What a lucky experienced driver!😂
Thanks for all Aman!😊
Aman love your channel I’m always glued and i love all the guest appearances! Its 🔥
great videos as always Aman! keep it up. Its really helpful to all
I'm pretty sure he was in sport or track mode on the power train that's why car didn't want to change the gears early, McLarens are pretty gentle in normal automatic mode
That's exactly what I said too 😄
100%, and he could've shifted up manually as well which he only did once.
Ÿou are Amazing Aman I am improving alot I actually can get to do my driving test next week I am so proud of myself thank you soo much Aman you are doing an amazing job
You actually just done the test centre that I’m going to have test in soon! Amazing! Is that one of the potential routes?
I've been driving for 27 years now, and today was the first day I learned that a dual carriageway is classed as such because it has a central divide! I always thought it's because of dual lanes/carriageways travelling in each direction. We learn new things every day indeed.
Tbe reason I enjoy these videos is because it's like a podcast but your learning how to drive
Finished my test behind an aventador here. Made sure I gave EXTRA space lol. GVE is a beautiful place to look a cars
The exhaust tho 🔥🔥🔥
should've taken him on more dual carriage ways at least so we could get out of 1st gear a bit more😂
Great drive, George. You weren't wrong about your skills 😊😊
Couldn't he have used the pedal shifters to manually change the gears himself?
He could have shifted the Car to Comfort Mode, so the upshifts are quick and we generally move in a higher gear.
The car probably was either in Sports or the Track mode. Its fast!
Or just used the paddle shifters to shift himself
He took his hands off steering wheel after those quick speed over bumps.
My man is definitely in sport mode with it staying in first gear like that!
😩🙈
Great video and a great drive by George, im abit of a petrolhead and was also surprised by the car which sounds like its screaming in 1st gear and not changing up as most supercars would do that after the revs are maintrained for a while and would normally change up a gear unless he had the car in race/sport mode so it was holding the lower gear or had it in manual mode and not changing up at times? When he was reverse parking im surprised he wasnt given a minor for not looking directly out the back window to as most instructors would from what ive seen.
In the beginning given mclarens shoddy build quality of the body panels, panel gaps are actually an issue 😂 he was correct they engineering amazing cars that gap other cars and have panel gaps them selves.
Mid 20s is possible, set it in comfort mode rather than sport! But well done, I thought you would have been speeding but didn't. I've been chastised by other viewers about undertaking, I will mention from now on that you picked up points for doing it! Good fun video.
3:01 The smirk she did when the engine gets on 😅
OMG, that car engine sounds awesome and seems so beautifully smooth.
It was annoying. It’s so loud when cars just crawling.
its loud tho
@@chrism869 It's loud as is to be expected with a lightweight supercar. But not too loud to the point of being unbearable. In fact, the 720S is actually one of the smoothest and quietest supercars on the road. McLaren did an awesome job with the suspension and the engine drone.
I think it sounded horrible for a supercar
George actually smashed it!
You are actually allowed to do a driving test in a soft top convertible. I have a 2011 hardtop convertible MX-5 and my local test centre said I couldn't take my test in it, but they have conducted tests in a few soft top MX-5s.
This channel is doing so well I won't be surprised if a very famous person pops up.
Yianny did one!
@@kdawg3203who's that?
@@boom5732 He's famous in the UK for dealing with cars and the carwow channel, if you don't know him, then you live under a rock..
Lamborghini now a McLaren, what’s next? Loving these videos although I was frustrated that he didn’t shift up. Manual was definitely needed & get crispy down shifts.
That's at the hayes test centre where I needed failing my first attempt regardless what I did go through a red light or stop in the keep clear box I would have failed as there was slow traffic.
That sound was really nice when you said ah in 21:50 - 21:52 ..
I also believe that no extra's should be used during your test such as sensors, cameras etc as people need to know how to do it without and not become reliant on the systems, or in a few years the older generation will be parking the younger generations cars for them when there systems fail.
They learned me to keep your hands on both sides on the wheel so you don't block the airbag. And if it goes of, it won't break your arms and shoot your arm bones in your face :) Now i'm mostly steering with 1 hand unless there are tight bends
Didn’t realise you were so close to Uxbridge! Literally drove right past my Auntie's house
Good video Skinny !
I need a Aman as my sat nav voice for real! 😂❤ pls go sing some contract pls
When instructing in this car you need to emphasize fuel management and planning! No running with the emergency ⛽light illuminated
Hi aman thank you for these videos it helped me passed my test first time with 3 minors!!! ☺
👏🏽 brilliant 🤩
Mclarens are my dream car absolutely love all models of mclarens ❤❤
That looks like Uxbridge! I took a test there! :)
George, smoothed driving, very experience driver should do well. To conform he is, " he had to take this mock test with Aman Clearview Driving". He passed this mock test. well done
I'm genuinely surprised that this guy didn't recognise a system of street lights. He definitely strikes me as someone who has done a speed awareness course or two in his time
10:48 that BMW M3 looks so cool
We need DMO next!
Wow I'm damn surprised like Zero horn used just awesome here in India every small turn evey car u have to be on high alert so many things to keep up with and with all the sign indicator here driving is legend level 😅 driving and always expect the unexpected when driving. 🚙👌😋
@21:32 My dream car was a Chrysler Grand Voyager but I'm happy with my 2014 Fiat Panda.
im currently taking my drivers license and i swear half of my focus is still on the clutch pedal. worst part is that the car im driving is rly nice and fairly forgiving on the clutch, atleast from my observation (have not rly driven any other cars obviously)
That road surface pissed me off and i have a corsa i cant imagine how he felt i watched a clip on insta before and didnt realised it is on uxbridge road until i nearly f'ed my tyres up
They both complement each other. What a gentleman. 👌
10:47 look at that m3 in front of the cls😍
Need to see a track day reaction
best instructor ever not driven for 9 years
13:24 the moment you see an m5 on the side of the road
3:03 flashbacks to when students have nearly crashed her own car... 🤣🤣🤣
Aman definitely liking the car a lot. He should have taken her for proper spin and hit the rev limiter. 😅
Interesting thing I saw and would like to have an explanation. At 11:23 he cut the intersection and was given a minor mistake point however at 13:30 he did exacly the same thing and he was given none. The situation was mostly the same so what was the difference.
Aman should have driven that car!! Give us a follow up video on this!!
Here in Northern Ireland it would be a minor if you are crossing your hands or using one hand and not feeding the steering through both of your hands and it would turn into a serious fault if you do it five times or more
wrong, i took my test in NI a year and a half ago and didn't get any minors or serious faults for crossing my hands, and my instructor never criticised me for doing it.
@@SeanWithaFada The examiner is really supposed to mark you down for that, I sat the taxi test in 2019 and deliberately crossed hands twice during reverse to the left just to see would he mark me and low and behold I had two minors at the end of the test for steering control I did the basic car test in 2008 and was told repeatedly that examiners are serious about steering and observation particularly when doing any manoeuvres but also when driving normally
Love video
Have the roads become less safe in the UK there's been so many fatal crashes involving high powered cars this year
I watched your videos before my theory test, done the theory, practical and got my car in timespan of 6 months!
this is the same guy mat watson visited to rev cold hypercars 😂
this was my driving test route, almost identical
Nice driving George; now keep driving as if Aman is still alongside you.
nah way to nice of a car to be driving that slow
@@gamingcentre6409 fr 😂😂
He would have to change cars for that kind of driving. Maybe drive an Audi A3 or something. A McLaren 720S is not very good at these low speed town driving trips.
I first read Goerge and McLaren. As a F1-fan I made some associations, although I knew they where some nonsense. However I would like to see you instead of with Russel with Lando Norris in his McLaren.
He is a good driver. I am wondering on the carriageway that people where thinking, why am I overtaking a McLaren?
it felt like the car was in pain lol just staying in first and second gear for most of the driving
0:21 in the video the Jiggle!!!!!!!!! That's a lot of support on the shocks of the car of course
I shocked to see very less people in this country roads which country is this?
10:24 i could never grasp the push pull method of steering. I cross my hands but wasnt an issue at all on my test. As long as you're in control of the car, it's calm 😌
Crossing your hands is much more efficient, and you can steer much more quickly, the whole feeding the wheel sham is a pile of shit
@Jake-ie6bi I agree. They always say it's because you'll get a serious hand injury from the airbag in the event of a crash.
@@Jake-ie6bi I used push-pull because I thought it was the most correct/safest/best steering method. That is until I got a driving job and had to perform a million 3-point-turns and actually be fast.
Finally some good driving. A bit slow, but like… driving and not just taking up space on the road.
Good and usefull
bro said it gets warm in there yet he still insists on wearing a hoodie even though judging by the instructors attire its not even that cold out lmfao
At 13:56 i have a question.
Whay should we do to tell someone that they can turn / go according to their indicator?
By flashing or not flashing or by turning of front lights at night as a yeah sign.
Or
Should we flash them (with intention of no, let me go first)?
Because normaly when someone wanna come from the opposite side (like at 13:54) and we are in speed, we flash them and pass them
minor for cutting the corner mean while he took good road positioning as there were parked cars
Need DMO to do one
16:40 other mclaren pulls up
20:11 He didn't miss the sign. He just wanted them to jiggle up and down for the views, just like you agreed on.
It really surprises me that people don’t understand the national speed limit signs
Nice drive, nice car! Not sure about the fuel consumption I think I'll stick with my Fiesta!!
I wanna see Aman drive the 720 on track
11:25 - he obviously cuts the corner as there's no incoming car and there are vechicles parked on both sides lol
how often do you come towards slough? would you ever come here to do a mock test with someone?
Im sure it should come up on the dashboard if the door is open
4:07 McLaren in a nutshell 😂😂
To be fair - driving 40km/h on that 60km/h road was an easy mistake - the initial sign after that left turn was covered by branches.
I just think he was driving too Slough 😂😂😂
Aman, I loved this video and it's very relevant to me!
I also have a V8 2 seater sports car and wouldn't mind a mock test/refresher. Is this service available with yourself? 🙂
PS: my car uses 2nd gear in auto at slow speeds 😉
Fuel efficiency isn’t really something that supercar owners worry about. Evidently true here because he has no clue, his estimation equates to about 2 or 3 mpg. Even for a supercar this is way off
On the highway, if there are three of four lanes, are you still supposed to stay in the left lane? Even if they're all slower than you? I find that if the left lane is full of trucks, it's easier to stay in the middle lane.
if you're in lane 2/3/4 and regularly overtaking other vehicles, it's fine to be there. if you're not overtaking anything in the lane to your left, then you should move left.
Why the car kept in the 1st gear, at the begining it was changing normally to 2-3-4 with low speed.
Btw i love watching your videos
I think it was on the uphill road
😅
it was most likely in sport or track mode, which holds on to gears longer compared to normal mode.
3:02 The expression !
It should be changing out of first, perhaps a Sport setting is on! No shoulder check on the merge. 20 miles per tank is not right, 20 mpg more likely.! It's not his car, so I guess you can cut him some slack. He says he is a good driver, but his questions would hint otherwise.
20:11 Oh my goodness look at the fucking bounce
Wait a min thats in uxbridge right outside my uni🤣
I just love Aman. She seems like a really nice person to be around. I love her smile, her attitude, her personality, her everything. I'd go on 200 mile drives with her anyday lol
Yeah I want her as my bestie but I won't drive her around lol I'm
"They're hand-built, so you get all kinds of panel gaps." ... Yeah,... I don't think people would pay all that dough for a hand-built car if the result would be something far below the standard of your regular run-of-the-mill Fiesta or i20 :).
but they do pay all that, and the result often is worse than mass produced economy cars. hand-built cars almost always have flaws in varying sizes. (obviously in this case the door was open, it wasn't a panel gap.)
@@SeanWithaFada Thank you for the explanation. The world is full of surprises!
I mean some of the most expensive cars to exist are hand built classic cars that every car enthusiast with a fortune and a half all want
I surprised he not use left foot to break
I am from Norway, and we obviously have different rules. But I didnt catch why you should have known the speedlimit is 60mph when he was driving at 40mph? Did I miss to see any speedlimit sign? At 17:43
This actually makes me glad I don't have a "super car" #1 it costs the price of a house! Why? #2 it sound terrible and i was surprised how it laboured through those gears changes and #3 why would you put that much fuel into a car even if money was irrelevant its like 5 mpg, i drove a Bentley continental that did 25 mpg and that was 3 ton!
"#1 it costs the price of a house! Why?" lots of reasons. it costs the price of many, many houses to develop and build. it uses materials that are of a much higher quality than a typical car. its performance is much greater than that of a typical car. it's much more rare than any typical car. it comes from a manufacturer that has racing pedigree. "2 it sound terrible and i was surprised how it laboured through those gears changes" well yeah it's not going to sound great droning along at 20mph in 1st gear at 4000rpm. it would sound much better when accelerating properly. the reason it was labouring through gears is because the driver had it in sport or track mode which holds on to the gears for much longer, if it was in normal mode it would change up much earlier." "#3 why would you put that much fuel into a car even if money was irrelevant its like 5 mpg, i drove a Bentley continental that did 25 mpg and that was 3 ton!" the driver was wrong about the fuel economy, this is a mclaren 720s and it supposedly gets 23mpg.
If you can afford both would you have an expensive car And house?
@@iwanttowatchyoutubenow house yes car not really it does nothing for me.
@@SeanWithaFada I know what you're saying but the build quality on a McLaren is awful the body panels regularly fit badly and I've even seen new ones delivered with rusty parts. Not worth it.
He definately meant 50mpg because there is no way that he gets 50miles in a tank. The 720s should not be that low🤔 it is known for at least 300miles to 400miles on a tank
