Awesome! Congratulations! This is the best collaboration I have heard in a long time! No one more deserving than you Remi! Weatherby is a great brand! I’d like to add that I have an amazing dog named remi and my name is Warren. I get a smile when I see or hear your name Thank You
He must have a new Sponsor now. Out with Sako, in with Weatherby. Kinda fits hunting Remy's style. Sako dont really make ultra light back packing rifles apart from their carbon job and that one is only in .308. That Sako S20 he used to lug around was a big heavy pig of a thing.
The Sako 90 Peak (carbon) is available in the following calibres. 22-250 Rem, 243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08, 308 Win, 6.5x55 SE, 270 Win, 30-06 Sprng, 8x57 IS, 7mm Rem Mag, 300 Win Mag.
Yeah but that Sako Peak is a damn nice rifle. I looked at all the options and it sits right on top of my list. Looks like I'll end up buying one sooner or later. That being said, they had ALL the calibers to choose from and the latest, restricted offerings are less than stellar. It's a little disappointing for sure.
Euro companies have a hard time using newer cartridges because of the trash laws they have. Why buy a $3K rifle in something dumb like 300 win? Thats like putting a steam engine in a Lambo.
I was looking one of these over at my local gun shop in 25’06. I liked it so much I ordered one in 240 mag. Figured my wife needed it! Lol. Nice rifle!
Just a fancy mark v hunter. Save ur $$ people n just buy the hunter model. Dont need fancy sponge paint that will get scrached off n look like shit in a year. Also dont need a no1 profile barrel to be fluted. Just buy a hunter model save tons $ marketing money. Sorry remi its the truth . Congratulations on joining weatherby though. There an awsome family brand!
For $150 more you get a factory installed $60 brake and it's .4lb lighter (in 6.5cm), seems worth it to me but if you're pinching pennies to get the cheapest mark v available then the hunter is fine.
Awesome rifle packed with great features at a reasonable price and has a variety of “cartridges” to fit any hunter’s needs. I hope that eventually it will be available in left hand 🫲. I am sure that this is a manufacturers cost cutting move, but the only thing that I don’t like is that every rifle has a 26” no brake 28” brake length barrel. Many of these cartridges are efficient and would work well with a 22” barrel and one can put a suppressor on without the weapon being extremely long. Such as the .308, 7mm08, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 7PRC, 280AI, and 243 Win.
Let's see some groups !
Good suggestion!

Would this model be considered better than the new Weatherby 307?
The 307 is in the middle between the Vanguard and Mark V
