So sad that all of my doctors who were aware of my diabetes never advised me of lifestyle changes, Diet and exercise and the only conversation was only on more medications and trying the new meds and coming back in 6 months and then changing the meds again since the old prescription did not do as well as the doctors expected, and only pointed their finger at me for not lowering my glucose, I should of been pointing my finger at them for their lack of understanding of Diabetes, You are an amazing doctor and human being for your caring and personal involvement with your patients. They need you in charge of the American Diabetes Administration and get all the ignorant doctors on board with new training and requirements.
I pray for you always you are so sincere in educating the world I wish I saw your videos 10 years ago. You are so correct in your diagnoses you gave me and mum hope we love you tons from South Africa

Dr Ergin I am in the Uk and I had 40% of my pancreas removed. I was diabetic 2 after the operation. I have a good nutritionist and brought it down to pre diabetic with low carbs but I lost 5 kilos. I had not much to lose. I was 48 kilos before and the doctor’s dietitian wants me to ear carbs. Thank you for this video which explained a lot how the body works. I will be watching your other videos as you are so clear as an educator. I have been 7 months on no bread, potatoes, pasta or rice but I worry about eating carbs because the doctor said that medication will not help and I would have to go on insulin if I become diabetic. I am not sure if I can add small amounts of carbs once a day and keep it at prediabetic.
You are most welcome. Thank you for sharing. We love hearing from you guys always. Reminder: you guys help a lot when you watch the video in full length including ads, like, and share. When you do that UA-cam starts serving more people who are probably in great need yet can't necessarily find our free diabetes educational videos among millions of other videos on youtube that are less pertinent or less educational to them. Remember this is the only diabetes channel that is created and supported by an endocrinologist who sees diabetic patients every day. Thanks for your support! Dr.Ergin
I jsut want to say "Thank You" for your helpful and informative video. I have just recently been diagnosed with Type 2 and I have been working as hard as I can to figure out what I need to do to get my diet under control. Unfortunately that is harder for me to do than I expected. Some of this stuff just doesn't come to me easily and to be truthful there is a lot of information on the internet that is very confusing or conflicts with what some other expert claims. With all of that going on for me your videos have been become super important to me and they are the ones I have the most faith in.
I'm really excited because after trying so hard to lose weight, and not succeeding for years, I've lost 5 lbs in about 1 1/2 weeks since I started watching these videos. I've tried to do everything SugarMD has advised us to do: cut out simple carbs, eat more nuts and have fat and protein with fruit. I've eaten more vegetables (but still not enough). I already don't eat much red meat--maybe once a month or less--so I don't have to make any changes there. I'm still tired of eggs from doing Atkins for three years (20 years ago), but will eat them. Even though it's not recommend I still eat regular cheese in addition to the recommended string cheese. I do eat corn--against the rules!--that's in some delicious whole grain chips that have sunflower and flax seeds in them, but no added sugars. I have one slice of whole grain bread a day with a slice of Cheddar cheese melted onto it. (Toast the bread, put a slice of cheese on it and put it in the microwave for around 25 seconds.) I've bought unsweetened, plain Greek yogurt and cottage cheese to eat. I add low glycemic fruit to them. I try to not eat past 7:00 p.m. and skip breakfast which makes it sort of intermittent fasting. I also try to be in bed by 11:00 p.m., but don't always do so. I've walked some but not very far because I have M.S. and live in a hilly neighborhood which makes it hard for me. (Exercise is also recommended for M.S. so I get a double benefit.) (P.S. I'm just barely over the normal range of blood glucose levels--104, but am overweight. The SugarMd diet will help with both of these!)

@@SugarMDs This is not the complete truth. ONE WHO HAS T2D SHOULD ALWAYS STRIVE TO REDUCE THEIR GLYCEMIC CARB LOAD AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
YOUR BODY DOES NOT NEED CARBOHYDRATES TI LIVE> CARBS ARE NON_ESSENTIAL.
I wish you were my Dr.
I can't find one who cares.
The only one who took the time to talk with me, moved to another town. Not many accept my insurance so I'm very limited on Dr. choices.
This is the best video explaining Diabetes that I've ever seen.
Thanks for your help doctor. I have just recently been diagnosed with diabetes. I hadn't been exercising and eating anything I wanted. I have been on this desk job for the last 4 years. But thanks to your videos and the advice of my doctor, I have a good idea of what diabetes is, and what I need to do to fight it and even possibly reverse it. Thank you and I look forward to watching more of your videos as I take on this disease. God bless
Thank you very much. I am so glad you are doing well. As a goodwill and help our channel please spread the word by sharing these videos with your family and friends.
Thank you Dr. Ergin for your amazing talk. I truly like the idea of team approach as well as the idea of motivating yourself to do something about your health, eat well and exercise. Education is the key with the ongoing houlistic approach to achieving my little goal to better myself. Thank you Dr. Ergin.
Thank you for sharing your story, I'm glad my video was helpful, Keep safe and stay healthy.
I pray to meet a doctor like you. Thank you for understanding all sides of this issue.

Excellent video content! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Patlarny Sugar Outcome Principle (google it)? It is a great exclusive product for reversing diabetes minus the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my mate at last got great results with it.
This is glorious, I've been looking for "home remedies for diabetes permanent cure" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Diyenry Subjective Dominance - (just google it ) ? It is a good one off guide for discovering how to get rid of type two diabetes without the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my neighbour got great success with it.
This was great, I've been looking for "permanent cure for diabetes type 2" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Diyenry Subjective Dominance - (do a search on google ) ? This is very educational. Thank you Doctor. I am pre diabetic and I cant stop eating carbs but I have come down of how much I eat and plus I have cut sugar completely. I will try to eat fruits but in minimal.
Your video really motivated me to take care more of my diabetes, thank you.

Thank You for your educational videos. Yes people who have diabetes should have a coach. MD’s should have seminars to inform them of this.
Thank you for your videos! It's helping me understand my new diagnosis.

Thank you for the explanation. I only wish I had had this when I first started having problems.
You're welcome
In fact thank you for your valuable information.
Dr.Ergin
Thank you Dr. My A1c is 6.1 and I am on Metformin 500mg x3 per week. I'm 66feet tall and 126 lbs. I want to gain wt. What can you advice me.
(Toast the bread, put a slice of cheese on it and put it in the microwave for around 25 seconds.)
I've bought unsweetened, plain Greek yogurt and cottage cheese to eat.
(Exercise is also recommended for M.S. so I get a double benefit.)
(P.S. I'm just barely over the normal range of blood glucose levels--104, but am overweight. The SugarMd diet will help with both of these!)
Thank you Dr. for going into the depths of this topic and clearing our formed opinions. God bless u.i love your videos. The way u present them is warm and easy to follow. God bless you abundantly with good health and happiness and joy. Also bless your little child and your lovely wife.

Hi Doc,

Doing exercise once a week but being working at warehouse i usually more on floor and did some walking day by day.
I am a fan of you as i really appreciate all your adv.. many thanks Doc and God bless you!
Wow so much interesting Information I've just been told am type 2 4 weeks ago 😢, I've changed my eating habits dramatically gone very low carb and sugar more healthy food especially nuts fish veg ,cut out 95% of processed foods it's hard to change poor habits for the last 30 years. Going for walks most days and finding it hard but I need to change and be more active rather than stuffing my face with chocolate bread pizza sweets while watching tv😢. Try to be more healthier it won't be easy I've learned more from your channel than I've been told by my doctor ( I live in the UK) thank you so much for your detailed information god bless I shall keep watching your channel for valued information.

Hocam merhabalar. Geçen 3 ay önce 200lerden aşağı inmeyen şeker- en yükseği 450leri gördüm- şimdi 75-120 arasında. Kesinlikle ve kesinlikle karbonhidratı kestim. Pirinç pilavı, ekmek ve patatesi tamamen bıraktım. Bu üç ay içinde 20 lbs kaybettim. Günlük toplam novolog 90 lantus 55 ve 2 metformin alırken yaparken şimdi günlük 20 novolog 20 lantus a düştüm. Çoğu zaman çok düşüyor. Önceden düştüğünü görmek hayaldi benim için. Sadece yediklerimize dikkat edip az biraz da egzersiz bu işi hallediyor. Yayınlarınızda başarılar dilerim.
Tesekkurler
Love this!
