Hi Guys, I have just posted the below on one of your videos from 2 yrs ago but I think this one is even better! I have reposted my question here as its a newer video & I hope therefore you may spot it! "One of the most helpful videos I've watched to date. I have a question..... I have to lay a pathway that is not up against any walls or edges on either side and I plan to type 1, lay a weed membrane, add 20mm of sand compacted leaving 20mm of sand to screed plus 50mm block paver. As I intend to whacker the finished blocks into this second course layer of screeded sand I will actually screed to 40mm below finished level. Now my question.... How do I stop the edges on both sides splaying out from the whacker plate? I don't see as I should cement them in backed up and then whacker the middle down as this may cause disruption to the cement edging, do I put them in, whacker down and then remove block and sand and re fit with a new cement base and backing up? Your help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards"
I have just seen your reply to my previous comments. Unbelievably quick and I really appreciate it. I note in this video you back up (you refer to this as flaunched) the edges, has this set before you whacker it ie the next day or are you doing this whilst its still setting as this either way would solve my concerns!? Thank you for your help. Peter
Looks well nice that does.well done lads .I made some make shift screeder .for that job we doing .it's no pro screed lol.wouldent mide one maybe one day 👍👍👍

@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping Is that the same as: "Since the ground was clay, we incorporated eco drains at the front of the driveway and redirected the water flow towards a deep flower bed designed to accommodate additional water.", Justin?
Top justin as normal, but isn't that poly sand going to crack if it sets as you're laying a flexible paving system, not having a dig as you do a top job , just interested to know 👍
Thanks Darren no fine i understand the question mate . Poly sand is a flexible jointing system if it was a cementitious grout layed on a flexible driveway such as this it would crack. First time we've used it .i wouldn't use it on patios as it doesn't last but for this purpose we will see.i think grouting and kiln dry sand systems need more products on the market especially for block paving and products that actually work .great question actually darren 👍💯
Polymeric sand is a derivative of plastics. It combines traditional fine sand with bits of plastic that is activated by water. Once triggered, the bits of plastic bond together to form a single plastic surface...
@brickrightbuildinglandscaping is the seal ok? Suppose it fills with silt and seals in the end, I just been quoted £30 per 90deg corner joint which is ridiculous.
