I’m hearing this for the first time just now and gobsmacked how similar to the recording the performance is. Was it before they tracked it? That has to be Mike Mogis on pedal steel.

It's what they had just recorded. The audience is totally unaware of this new creation. The performers convey their unsure, yet import of their creation. The performers perform exceptionally. The audience acknowledges a new thing in the world as significant.
Can somebody gift Mike Mogis an easy life for that pedal steel?
