At 40m RLis HI minus IS i.e 101.515-1.295=100.02 but you have considered old HI to calculate RL at 40m chainage.pls clarify.

How to calculate toe width and number of layers in undulations portion
Toe width is calculated as per depth and side slope ratios.
For ex. u have top width 5m and u wants to know the toe width at 2m depth on both side, side slope is 2:1ratio given then toe width will be 5(Top width)+2/1(slope ratio)×2(both sides)×2(Total depth)=13m.
Each layers should be lies between 200-250mm as per materials and their compactness.

No. there is no need of chainage to take C.P but u must keep in mind that after taking C.P ur further levels will be calculated as per C.P's RL not previous TBM or TS RL's.

Sir mujhe longitudinal direction mein jo procedure aapne btaya wo sahi nhi lg raha.
There was a little mistake
Jab tak aapne 30 chainage pr level liye hai wahan tak to Thik hai.
Phir aapne 30 se Thoda aage jo staff rkh kr cp bnaya hai wah mistake hai.
Suppose kro aapne 30 chainage pr offset ki reading li (including LHS C RHS) iske baat 40 ke liye aapne staff ko 30 se aage rkh kr cp liya hai waha uski jarurt nhi h.
Aap sidhe 30 pr reading lo aur sari fs mein dal kr close kro. Phir Uske baad 40 ke liye nearest TBM use kro aur new HI bna kr kaam start kro.
Aapne hr 200 meter pr jo TBM lgaye hai uska Kya fyda aur usko aap use nhi kr rhe. Phir to time waste krne wali baat hui na

Avg. Value for which observation
If u wants to know the average value of transverse offsets at given chainage. U have to add all transverse values and divide values by number of offsets taken u can find avarage value.
