When I was helping my parents redo their counter tops in 2020 for a quick kitchen facelift, we used the counter top quartz also on the wall as the “backsplash” too! it was so much faster than having to wait on backsplash tiles and it looked really clean and pretty (and easy to clean because no grout!) there are some pretty examples on pinterest of this

When you showed the upstairs in one of the last blogs, I thought the light with dark accents looked so great. The picture frames and black countertops really looked wonderful. I sometimes miss the white on white apartment aesthetic instead of embracing the wonderful qualities in my own beautiful home. I’ve finally started to embrace the traditional style of my home instead of trying to chance the modern minimalistic style and I’m much happier.
Love the countertop choice!!! When choosing a sink the main things I considered were single bowl vs. divided sink, what’s the largest size sink that can fit in that base cabinet?, how deep of a sink do you want (I chose 10 inch, but feel that it is a little too deep. I find myself leaning over to reach things in the bottom of the sink), a better gauge stainless steel (I went with 16 gauge), rounded vs sharp corners, and if you want a sink that is compatible with other accessories!
Also since you don’t have a garbage disposal, consider getting a sink that comes with an extra deep strainer basket to catch food residue. My sink is Ruvati brand and I read in reviews that that is a key feature for a lot of people without disposals disposals

I wouldn’t get the quartz with the chrome accents. You’re kitchen hardware may change over time so I wouldn’t get counters to match. 😊
