    This is the best video I've seen on scatter terrain trees. As a game master, my players always want to climb trees, and it's not easy to show the mini halfway or all the way up the tree on the standard "realistic trees" because they're all fluff with no flat bits I like that these bare trunks can be sprinkled in to allow for climbing. And as a bonus, they don't look like they'll block the players' view of the table much.

    Some ideas: drip watered down PVA thru the clump foilage to seal it in place solidly. Use hot-glue to add planks to the CD. I did this recently and was much less painful than superglue looks to be.
    I love the way your project worked out! The mid-point breaks are a great idea.

    Finally, a good wargamming terrain made with cardboard rolls. That's amazing.

    for creating the platforms, better choice than superglue would be gorilla glue, it gives just as strong (if not stronger) a bond, but has a MUCH more generous working time. Great choice for basing, or anything else where you can apply a lot of material to a sizable flat surface & then leave it to fully cure. Just don't try to dilute it with water :D

      Never tried gorilla glue, definite gonna pick some up and give it a go superglue can have a super unforgiving working time. Cheers!

    You can also texture some hot glue with some toothpicks to mimic the "bark" lines

      Indeed! A real cheap pack I got from wish, all the different sizes are great for anything from big like this to tiny miniatures as well! 😁

    What's the name of the black stuff you used to prime the foil for painting? I couldn't make it out.

      @Falvodor  Рік тому +1

      That is modge podge and black paint, could also use pva glue. You can also use a rattle can primer but I have had less luck with those holding up over time.

    Hi, I was wondering where you got the magnets and what they are called so that I can find similar - thanks!

      The ones I used here were 5mm by 3mm disc magnets. I got them off ebay, Unfortunately there isn't really a good store that I could find in Australia. I have purchased from AMF Magnets before however they can be quite expensive.
