At 41:17, if the white king had taken the black pawn, it would have been a grave mistake leading to white's defeat. The sequence would have been: 1. Rxd5 b2 2. g7 b1Q 3. g8Q Qxe4 checkmate. Thank you for following my videos! I appreciate your support and invite you to continue enjoying my content.
You are mistaken. Black promotion when it moves to b8, not b1. Similarly white promotion when it moves to g1 not g8. Look at the orientation of board in the beginning.
You are absolutely right. Regarding the game, even with the correct promotion squares, the game would still be a draw with the following variation: 1. Rxe4 Rc5 2. b4+ Rb5 3. Re5 Rc4 White cannot make any progress in this position.
How could a grandmaster of this level deliberately exchange a knight for a bishop and suffer until the end of the game?
I think that was called the match of idiots.
At 41:17 why white king not take black pawn ??
