A quick question: Have you air your brother ever done any work on knives, swords, firearms, or armor? I ask because a collaboration video with a good blacksmith or weaver, in my opinion, would be so cool. Supposedly the family of the Czar of Russia had so many diamonds sewn into their clothes that bullets didn’t penetrate them easily.

I kinda do the same thing to recover silver filings from the rock mud in the trays of my cabbing machine. I pan it out with a gold pan and then melt it down into a bar. Done once every few months. I only can afford to work with silver for now.

I’m not really a jewellery person but found your site wanting to know how to clean a wedding ring that was my late mother’s. I wish to use the ring for my upcoming wedding on 20th August 2020 & have to increase the size. It’s a thick plain band she never took off & the inside is completely black with grime. She was a wonderful gardener & always had her hands in soil! Any recommendations? What should I expect to pay for resizing? It’s all last minute as some lockdown restrictions have now lifted.
