ONE DESIRE released their self-titled debut to massive acclaim. With a true hit single, 'Hurt' (nearly 2 million views on UA-cam, 3 million streams on Spotify) the band found their way to the forefront of the melodic rock scene. A couple of successful European tours with Eclipse and H.E.A.T were followed by more dates and festivals through the end of 2017, before the band headed back to the studio to start work on their sophomore release.
In the works for a little over two years, the resulting album “Midnight Empire” generously repays the long wait the fans have had to suffer for new music from the band. It’s a more mature, at times adventurous, album, but still with an unbelievable hookiness that fans know and love from the debut. This is simply your album of the year if you like, no LOVE Melodic Rock. It’s going to be quite impossible to top this!

I'm 60 and the 80's were the best decade so far.
I'm 60 and over the last 20 years started listening to European metal because the radio just doesn't cut it anymore. These guys capture that big hair era magic and I love it.
Imagine how much of a better place the world would seem if they played great songs like this on daytime radio.. outstanding musicianship and a terrific song.... Frontiers is keeping the flame alive with an unrivalled rosta of exceptionally talented bands

Michael Holmgaard , I agree. There is definitely some kind of wave to bring back good melodies and vocals back to current and new rock bands. I guess when everyone starts to compare Greta Van Fleet to LED Zeppelin about 4 years ago that inspired everyone

@@naderbakhoum7804 Actually Sweeden has had quite a few bands come out with melodic vocals way before that zeppelin wannabe band, sorry not a fan of their's. Santa Cruz's first album is generally loved, I like that one and their second. Crashdiet has a modern sound with a bit of old school to them. Crazy Lixx sounds straight out of the 80s. Eclipse reminds me of a mor esimple version of this band, immediately thought of them when I first heard this song. Reckless Love is ok. There's a band called Confess, although there are a bunch of bands with that name, but if you find the right one they're pretty good. I'd also recommend for a more metal sound the band Defecto, I think they're Danish probably spelled that wrong. Again melodic vocals but they have their own sound. Ordan Ogan is a good power metal band, their album Gunmen has some really catchy stuff. I'ms ure i'm forgetting some bands, but my point is there are a ton of bands out there. It's just a pain finding them sometimes.
This band are simply awesome. There isn't a weak song anywhere in their resume, very skillfully written and great musicianship. They have the energy that I liked in within temptation through the silent force and unforgiven albums but they then seemed to loose direction trying to be more acceptable to a commercial market, one desire have kept that energy and long may it stay. Love you guys❤❤
It's like a time machine back to the early days of Rock. When the music was both inspired and inspiring.

This is an incredible good song with a perfect production. This is music with PASSION, with great vocals, fantastic keyboards, great guitar leads and the perfect drive. With its breaks and changes within the song, it's complex, but with an amazing hookline! I will buy the album...

They will never be noticed by the ones pulling the strings... this amazing once in a lifetime band will fade away into nothing and nevwr are mainstream radio.There is a reason most people have never heard of One Desire. It's not modern day pop...and 90% of the music on the radio these days is....I miss the good Ole days of monster solos and huge vocals. Now it's just a bunch of fake ass talent behind electronics that do all the work for you. Oh...I love One Desire...absolutely amazing.

Great song! I remember seeing the lead singer with his previous band Sturm und Drang back in 2007 at SRF. They rocked hard and where just kids back then. Glad to see how he has evolved into a strong, characteristic lead vocalist, forming a band that is one the best I have heard in a long time! Rock the F'**k on, One Desire!
