What really made this show for me was the reversal of the protagonist and antagonist roles between Raylan and Boyd. Such a master stroke of story telling.
The fun part is, Boyd was supposed to die in the pilot. But they loved Goggins' performance so much they changed their minds at the end of filming. And thus a legendary cat & mouse game was born.

Timothy is a Great actor but Walton is without a doubt one of the Finest actors alive today...Literally crushes every role he has ever had...Boyd is my second fav role of his after Venus VanDam on Sons of Anarchy...

People remember Goggins for The Shield, Justified, Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight, and now Fallout, but he was phenomenal in SoA and it was a wildly different character from what he usually does, which really shows his range

Givens playing roulette in the trailer with Duffy is maybe the best scene in the entire show, it's just so completely believable given the actors performances. Givens is finally pushed over the line with the death of a close friend, and Duffy realizing he is going to die if he doesn't give Raylan what he wants.... perfection.

In the shot when he spins the chamber you can see that it's in the third chamber when he closes it. Presumably he sees it too and knows he has two empty chambers to burn through.

Hands down my favorite show. I believe Raylan feared Boon, Boon is quick on the draw and Raylan feared he could possibly lose against him, he only survived because he lowers his stance when drawing.

Raylan seemed to know Boon was quick too, so IMHO I thought raylan looked more concerned than almost any other drawdown on an enemy
In my age of good ole Southern Boy in younger years pump was loaded and pumped, Gun loaded round in chamber , Crow clearly a danger to himself in his movie role
He should never ever have let the writers of his visit to Detroit do so much damage to a truly unique character he once was. I don't think I can ever view him seriously again.

I watch it start to finish every two years, I guarantee there'll be a 3rd time for you, most likely a 4th and 5th time too.

The actor that plays Dewey is in Breaking Bad as the cracked head whose house Jesse sneaks into to get the stolen crack.
He was also in Saving Private Ryan. He played Private Upham, I believe.
