The last slave ship in the 1800s that tried to bring slaves into America after it was illegal to bring slaves from Africa was headed by Captain Latham. The British war ship that patrolled the illegal Atlantic Slave Trade chased and captured the ship but before they did the crew of Captain Latham tossed all the shackled slaves into the Atlantic Ocean to get rid of the evidence of transporting slaves illegally. A memorial was placed on the ocean bed for my people who were all tossed overboard holding hands in a circle. RIP to my ancestors who did not make it from Nigeria to America, I weep for you.

African leaders are docile leaders when it comes to their own history, they have hidden their histories from their generations of Africans. If the generations of Africans had any lessons on what the colonizers had done to their foreparents the African countries would not so ACCOMODATING to whites and other foreigners! How free is Africa today from the same types of people who had colonized them? Not even your history is been taught in your schools in Nigeria? So your people are still BLIND to their history, your people still remain Docile, no knowledge of who they are, AND YOUR COLONAL ENEMY STILL PLUNDER THE AFRICAN COUNTRIES. NOTHING MUCH HAS CHANGE!! HISTORY HAS A WAY OF REPEATING ITSELF AND ITS SLOWLY COMING ALONG IN THE AFRICAN COUNTRIES. AFRICA IS A CONTINENT THAT LOVE ITS COLONIZERS, BOTH THE OLD ONES AND THE CHINESE ARE THE MODERN ONES!! Wake up! You all have been sleeping FAR TOO LONG!!!!

I kept telling people that slavery started over 400 years ago and continued until the 1800s hundreds. So less than two hundred years ago, they shipping people to the new world. I think I heard of Igbos commiting suicide in Jamaica, but many of them survived, including a young Igbo prince. His name was Anaeso, but they changed his name to Archibald Monteith. He wrote the first slave memoir in the Americas. It's a very sad, but interesting story.

Then it was known as Eastern region. All the South-South (Except for Edo) and South-East were considered Igbos and they all had one fate, and were treated alike in the federal government level before the disintegration which came as a plot to distort their quest for a sovereign state.
The locations where slave trade thrive mostly were Cross River (which includes parts of Akwa Ibom), Imo (Which includes Abia State & parts of Rivers) then Bayelsa.

I’m Afro-Romanian living in America now. This was very powerful. Thank you for showing me. I’m an activist and my specialty is with Race and Ethnicity. I’ve studied these things my whole life, but seeing it is a whole new level. I went to the Smithsonian museum in Washington DC, USA, and I SAW Harriet Tubman’s clothes, SAW the tools they used as well as what was used on them. I saw a portable crib for field slave moms. It was never as real for me as that moment. I’ve wanted to visit Gore and other locations. I drove by a plantation visiting relatives down the the American South, and for the first time in my life, as I live in the Northeast, I saw the sheer size of the plantation my people worked on. I personally am adopted from Romania, so technically they wouldn’t be my biological ancestors most likely, but I still consider them my ancestors. Peace and Rest in Power.
    PS
I can’t wait for the day when black people decide to rise up and fight back! They are LITERALLY killing us! We should start killing them back. In the United States, anti-black racism is very unique compared to other countries. I believe we are headed for another American Civil War , and when it starts I’ll be ready. We need a return of the Black Panthers, an American black power group that fought back when attacked. They also created school lunch programs, voting registration help, food pantries the works.

    • @rosejames5172
      @rosejames5172 Рік тому

So you are a Romanian trying to incite war🙄. The only way black people can win this race war is by loving each other and uniting. The day black men start really loving black women and children enough to want to create better, beautiful communities and countries for them to live and florish in is the day the black race will start to win. When rich black men marry black women and form powerful black families that can leverage power and influence and when black people build and develope large manufacturing, technology, medical and pharmaceutical companies as well as make more inventions, then you will see a change.

that's a lie🙄 white men have no problem living in Africa. millions of whites live in Africa today and they are not dying. The Europeans owned all the slave ports and forts along the west african coast, they were there for centuries, kidnapping, buying and selling slaves. Stop believing BS white people made up to make themselves look better. The supplies rival tribes with weapons to incite and continue war to get more slaves, they also paid people to kidnap people.

This video is very deceitful. That thumbnail is of statues, and not even in the area. Slaves were chained to the ships, they couldn't just hop overboard. It was horrible how they secured slaves, but this was not possible. Also, rival tribes sold blacks to the colonies. The ships were owned and financed by my own research, by juice
The British had anti-slavery ships very early on to try and stop this, white people fought and died for a very long time to try and stop slavery. Western nations are STILL the most free, and slavery still happens in other parts of the world.

We will die on our feet before we live on our knees. Nice. Thats how I feel about it too.
There were free black people in America too, and thousands of slave owners. The first owner of a "forever indentured" person in America was a black colonist named Anthony Johnson.
The weak are always preyed upon. Be Godly but be badass and dangerous too.

Y’all should also know, Africans resisted but it was too late, trading posts had already been established and Europeans came with North Africans who had experience in the slave trade. It was like mercenaries in today’s language who will go and round up a whole village. Black Africans responsibility of selling themselves was insignificant. If the native Indians had to be transported to a distant land for their labor, it would have happened. They didn’t see it coming in such a magnitude and cruelty.

This is what I have been saying. The first step for you to regain your identity is to do away with your fake English and French names. Why should a Yoruba man, an Ishan man, an Ibo man, a Hausa man ... be called Johnson, Dickson, Thomas, Clifford............? Those are all signs of slavery, whether you were born and bred in Africa, and you have never stepped out of the continent or not. Change those names !
It is never too late to change names. Till today, some people change their family names after they are married. Africa people, change your foreign names. You are still slaves, if you are bearing their names. Rosemary, Maryjane, Patsandra, Eunice, Madggie.... Commont for here.

I STAND WITH MALEMA

I have an update to my previous post. Within the past few months, I learned more about my Romanian half. I learned the Gypsies were enslaved in my birth country of Romania, where they were treated as chattel as well. I learned that Uncle Tom’s Cabin helped to free them as well as my black ancestors! Romania ended their slavery 8 years before America. I always took pride in my blackness and my not American-ness. But now I learned that my people are just as awful. As an Afro-Romanian, I learned I bare the blood of 2 powerful and resilient peoples. Rip to them all ❤
(I refer to my Black and Gypsie ancestors not the white ones).

This is very hard to believe. Sorry. I’m not saying something horrible didn’t happen but there’s no way anyone could live through this. Also why didn’t they fight if they already knew they wouldn’t return home. And most of those names are not europeans last name, and have been proven that most of the names black Americans have are names indigenous blk people already had when the Europeans invaded their land.

Their names sound like Igbo names Udoka and Udoma. The Igbo bear those names too. And please y'all should stop saying south south, there is nothing like that in the cardinal point. It's either you are southeast or southwest. Atop allowing your government use that to destroy you for their selfish gain.
