I discovered The Communards - for a friend, from this runway. Really enjoyed the song and gives it alot of power and synergy into this collection. Love the experience!
Personally, i find the Burberry collection from spring/summer 2014 most breathtaking and memorable. Christopher Bailey is, without a doubt, a very talented, distinguished individual who has managed to redefine what is essentially a very British luxury brand. His creative, insightful approach has certainly played a great role in bringing Burberry its reputation it has today. I just hope that even with a new chief executive director, the brand would still be able to retain its unique character and its rich, significant inspiration from British culture and heritage.
So a farewell to an incredible era and all the best to Burberry in the future!

the clothing was not Christopher Bailey's best but some how the show still made me cry. The music was beautiful and the lights were stunning. When Christopher Bailey came out I almost lost it.
He is a genius , wonder what his plans are now post Burberry!
This show was not about the clothing it's about someone's coming out party and finally letting people know he's gay rainbow everywhere and I don't care who knows it

I would say the best Burberry runway show yet...and there's a lot of competition there! Music was a joy...it took me back, and yes I did shed a tear when I heard "For a friend". Beautiful.

The models are walking, not running and I have time to admire the men's skirt, something that id like to wear, but alas I can only see 3 cities that it would look fine, outside the whole of Scotland and perhaps the Bretagne Region of France, that is London, Tokyo & New York! I love the two songs!
The end got me so emotional. I'm always crying and I've never seen a standing ovation in a fashion show like this. I mean it was legendary

I'm missing Christopher tremendously. And I really hope that Burberry maintains the ambition of targeting almost every sense with their presentations, while embodying the essence of British elegance and quality.

completely off direction to what once has come to love and expect from Burberry -- it is still cool, but I felt like watching a Chap Monday runway rather than a Burberry...I love Cheap Monday...but ..idunno -- still there are sublime pieces...lost in the 90's grunge vibe which is not really B / Music : after minute 11.5, it matched the visual....but prior to that, it was more B style and beautiful... I guess, patched, like the clothes?

Burberry strangling to stay true their DNA and trying too hard
Didn't Oscar Wilde say something about fighting a duel to the death with his wallpaper? (I'm guessing said wallpaper was probably a prototype of Burberry plaid)... I personally find it to be a unsettling and unpleasant pattern; it has all the charm of a bowl of cold oatmeal on a hot summer afternoon... I'd rather wear "Loud MacLeod" tartan; it's uglier in a prettier way... There's something about Burberry that makes me feel ill.
For me, the more time that passes, the worse this collection holds up. In my opinion, it's everything Burberry isn't - slouchy, sloppy, a little too street and of the moment. Shame, because I love what Bailey did for Burberry. But lets not forget, this is an expensive brand . . . not a trip to Camden Market.
One thing I always try to keep in mind when watching runway shows for the big high fashion houses, is that I am watching mannequins - teenagers playing dress up, dressed in clothes for adults. This show looks like teenagers dressed as teenagers. That's not so good. Cos teenagers aren't your target audience. They can't afford what you're selling. And the adults who can, aren't gonna wanna look like they spent 7 grand on an outfit that looks like it came from a day out shopping at the local thrift stores.
