I usually don't like watching these videos just because I feel sometimes people exaggerate wayyyyy too much. And I think that's so fake because the product won't even be THAT bad half the time but idk they have this appearance they wanna keep up and that means they can't like a non-high end product or something 🙄 BUT Mia is always so genuine and I know I'm gonna get super honest opinions and reactions from her, so I never mind watching her videos of these.

Speaking as a Korean - Koreans really like the dewy/natural look, so you'll find almost everything is dewy haha. Sucks for me because I'm an oily girl and I want matte makeup!!!!
PS: you're supposed to leave the snail thing on, but if you're having a reaction it's probably the best to wash off
haha u can either leave the mask residue on or wash it off it depends on some people, personally I like to wash it off after i pat on my face for the mask benefit to seep in my pores... also if you have oily skin try Clinique's moisturizing gel, it's not korean skincare but it would help control your extra sebum on your face! :D
I always get a reaction especially facial peels and masks with most Korean bands.
Most of them are dewy, some few brands have matte too, like Clio i think. Also a thing that is different from Korean and Western makeup is the preferance in highlighters, eye colors and mascaras. They usually prefer a sheer highlight, not so voluminous mascara and casual eye colors (not blue or green or purple etc).
Alexis Santiago thats strange cuz korean masks are the most popular masks in my country. Examples are Innisfree, The Face Shop, Mediheal,etc
I am super oily too, even when I'm using matte makeup it'll turn out to be dewy at the end of the day

Cause you know people get offended of anything by anyone so quickly nowadays. I think it’s safe for her to do that.
Everybody wants to be pissed off about something. In reality, 90% of time you are "offended" by something, it's because you CHOOSE to be.
Or maybe she knows things can be seen as appropriation and she wasnt sure if it was so she put in a disclaimer to let people know if it was offensive it wasnt her intent 🤷🏻♀️
Korea have different customs to their culture just like any place outside of America... it's sweet that she put a disclaimer💜 even though, pretty sure, she did nothing offensive.. also.. we're all connected more by social media in this era so it would seem that everyone's sensitive🙂.. but really, it's just meeting different people with different ideas
The best thing about this video is that she did not try to imitate the k-makeup in a way that promotes making fun rather than appreciating them.. mia looks gorgeous 💓

Hey! Yeah you're not the only one who ended up with red skin and a rash after using the snail mask. Personally, all snail (mucin) derived products either break me out or leave me with a rash. So yeah...

same for me. i got skin bumps after a snail serum.
For me...just the opposite....it helps calm down redness

Redness is due to heated skin or weak moisture barrier or irritation due to too much massaging or certain product not suiting skin
Just wear sunscreen and use barrier repairing moisturizer and a gentle cleanser

If you're interested, my favorite website for colored and circle lenses (especially because I'm short-sighted and need correction) is called PinkyParadise. They have a lot of info on the lenses so you can carefully pick them. They were also very quick when I ordered them from France (took a week), but I can't say anything for Canada.

Honestly I just discovered you in the past 4 weeks and you're amazing. So simple and to the point and I love that.
I hope your skin on your face ends up being ok after that face mask! When I saw how red it started getting I got worried for you. Also, the dry skin thing? I deal with the same thing! I actually put 100% coconut oil on my face (louana is the brand). I also put Ultra moisturisizing extra dry skin lotion on it. It has vitamins C, E & B. The brand of the lotion is Equate beauty. My nose and whole t zone period is like sand paper usually, now it's soft and moisturized! Hope this helps you or anyone else who has dry skin 😊😘💋

I have severely dry skin also. Living in Alaska doesn’t help at all lol. But worse of all I am deathly allergic to coconut 🥥 which is amazing for skin and hair so a huge majority of products these days have some in it, it’s risky business trying new things out. I have even experienced reading the ingredients (which I always have to do even with food) and it not having coconut anywhere listed but then I have a reaction to it , some times they just count it under other natural ingredients which is so very scary

As for the face mask, I use snail masks all the time and they contain collagen that helps the skin rejuvenate and keeps it firm ~ I use facemask as a last step of my skin routine before going to bed , and its usually not supposed to be washed off ( unless you feel uncomfortable or are reacting to it :((( )
Here's a weird story.
So one night (it was like 2am) I was on youtube. I saw your video in my sub box...and then I fell asleep. I don't know why, but I had a dream: I was on yt and I watched this video. And then the video was just you saying you'll do it in another video. I was so sad! Btw this was a dream.
So I woke up and was the video in my sub box again, and I thought: 'Oh yeah, I already watched this, and it was just bad, so I'm not watching it again! Now I have to wait for another video to see the make up! Ugh!!' So I never watched it.
Right now, I'm watching this video for the first time, and LOVING it.

Snail masks are my favorite! Very Hydrating and has anti bacterial properties! They don't smell bad and not sure why people freak about them lol
I really liked the smell of them, I just didn't know what was in it. But I think I would have liked it more if my face wouldn't have reacted, but my face is super sensitive so I wouldn't blame the mask.
They honestly sound gross.. I purchased some- epielle brand? It's often sold at big lots.. but I love them.. the ones I purchased did say to rub in after. But 10/10 I'd buy again.

They shouldn't kill them, they should just collect mucin and feed snails to produce more (ar at least they do that way in Italy). There must be some chemical reacting with your skin, since snail mucin is very very soothing and rich in glycopeptides and hyaluronic acid... they sell it for skin rashes and infants redness here... :-/ you should be supposed to eat snails, unless you're allergic...

Whitening products in Asia are meant to actually like whiten and lighten the skin not brighten it. Just letting you know cause I bought a bunch of Korean products thinking the same thing but found out that they actually lightened my already super pale skin 😂

Korean sheets mask are good for all skin types & you don't have to wash off. Cuz after a few mins it will dry & just put your favorite moistuizer. You only need to wash overnight mask etc
