This is an overview/introduction for the course I'm teaching on Peghead Nation on Alternate Tunings for Fingerstyle Guitar. The course has quite a few modules already, and more will be added each month, as we go through a variety of guitar tunings. I'll be focusing on how to make sense of these tunings, how to find your way around even when all the strings have changed! And learning tunes along the way.

I have your Understanding DADGAD book and your DADGAD Christmas book. I began playing guitar in my late 60’s after retirement. I started from the beginning learning open D and working on fingerstyle. Once you begin to get the thumb operating by itself it begins to make sense. 😂 I can’t play anything in “standard” tuning and I can’t use a pick. I don’t have enough years left to learn all that stuff!
