What do you use to record DIs now without the axe fx? Do you find that your DIs are just as high quality and low latency compared to the axe fx?

You can always adjust it to taste. Presets are only a starting point.

It is foolish to rid of an Axe FX. And here is the rub, no one is denying that Neural is awesome but even with a quad Axe FX is just too amazing live and with more capability. Personally, I use Neural all the time but I would never get rid of a solid piece of equipment. I still own my ADA MP1, I hardly use it but even once in a while I still break it out because I love those tones. If you want to perform live in the box cool it can be done but a lot can go wrong with those setups live. Axe FX was designed for the touring musician and is a solid platform. If anyone else is thinking about getting rid of it I would urge you to think long and hard about that, it is always better to add and have options. Just my thought on the whole thing.
Yeah, thank you, that's a good point! Let me clarify - it made sense for me to sell mine because I don't play live and all my work is done in the studio. If anyone watching is considering selling a piece of gear because a plugin fills that need, take some time to reflect on your specific situation and decide whether getting rid of that piece of gear is in your best interest.
I use Nolly with York Audio IRs and some free ones from Tonehunt, which is what I use 90% of the time, with the remaining 10% using Fortin Nameless. I emailed Nolly to include a chorus pedal in post fx section when his plugin gets updated to the X version, the chorus would sound so good with the delay and reverb.

Axe FX fiddling for years, and all sold for the Neural plugins.

I used Parallax for a couple of years but Darkglass blows it away IMO. Way more versatile. I still use Parallax to compress the low end (with the top two bands turned off) and I run a high pass filter on Darkglass. Have you tried Darkglass and still prefer Parallax?

@@nickbroomhallmusic Excellent, all of them... I liked the most the Cleans and Low Gain! I just had to do minor tweaks to get it to work as I wanted with my guitar! But that was expected. Now, about the videos, I enjoyed the Prog Metal Composition... you should do a couple more like that! Thanks!
I am convinced you can't beat Neural DSP plugins. For the price and the sound you can't beat them. I got the Soldano SLO-100 plugin 2 years ago and I love it. I was using Amplitube and when I saw a demo for Neural then I dropped Amplitube. I am in the process of researching my next plugin. I did the 14 day trial of Archetype Plini and really liked it but I did Mesa Boogie and John Petrucci.
I think STL tones get you amazing stuff as well. I think it's a matter of preference in what kind of system you want. I have some from both I like both.
For price and sound has to be NAM as the winner.

Nolly their best thing. They should update it with transpose feature and add pedals - phaser, octaver, chorus, wah.
Totally agree. At least the transpose feature that they have on all their other plugins.
They likely will soon enough. My guess is it will be done in order of releases. Plini got updated to Plini X last month, and if I recall, Nolly was released directly after Plini. Before the end of this year would be nice!

Why no to cut 60 and 16k ? I don't think you need anything below 60 or higher than 16k. Or maybe you did that somewhere else.
