Imo as a singer, there’s a whole lot of diff between his recorded stuff and his acapella/impromptu singing, and it does tell me that he’s doing a lot of processing or that he’s very inconsistent with his voice and how he manipulates and projects it. He certainly sounds like he hasn’t broken into his own as a soloist, and he still had that level of confidence. He’s got potential, but it really sounds like it’s a Low priority for him or that he doesn’t want to be taught/can’t handle criticism

his problem is he clogs his nose. he forgets to let air out of his nose when he sings. that way he wont sound like hes singing through a cotton ball stuck in his throat. he also needs to relax his shoulders when he hits the waves of a song to they will come out smoother and not so bumpy. and to make it more smooth and for it so come out easier, that's where you really need to allow air to come out of the nose. not to push air out, but to allow it to come out. most people tend to not breath through their nose when they sing. its very common with people who are beginning to sing. he also tends to go over bored. going too much over bored will make the song sound not so great. taking breathes when needed helps a lot as well.. he also sounds flat most of the time. this is probably cause by not letting air exit the nose and not getting enough air in the lungs

Then I learned that one way to engage your core is to flex your arms inward like this: ( ). Also, when you engage with your choir, you can poke at your tummy and it usually feels more hard like you have abs or you feel more grounded if that makes sense. It is hard to explain, but if you really want to learn how, I am sure there are videos on how to engage your core while singing that will be very helpful. :)
