- Like many of you, I was searching and searching for this small clip of Whoopi singing in Cinderella from 1997. Here you are! :)

Man, her acting is 100% in this moment. She’s been a comedic side character earlier, begging him to find a girl soon, but here you can see through her expressions how much she wants him to be absolutely sure that the woman he met is the woman he wants to spend his life with. It’s especially interesting when you consider that Whoopi Goldberg married before and then ultimately decided she would be happier being single. Thanks for posting this scene, I didn’t give it much thought until I watched it again

Whoopi has a surprisingly good singing voice despite being a comedic actress. Then again, she also sang in the Sister Act movies.

@@roycerowland2699 Actually it was Whoopi Goldberg singing in the Sister Act movies she wasn't dubbed at all. She did her own singing in those movies. The actress that played Mary Roberts however didn't do her own singing Wendy Makkena was dubbed by Andrea Robinson. Whoopi Goldberg did do her own singing though in those movies :)

I’ve noticed one of the few differences between the two Cinderella film. In the animated version from 1950, the king is the overprotective parent. He only wants his son to marry any princess just so he can be around to see his grandchildren. Meaning the live action version from 1997, the king is very laid back and understanding. However, the queen is the obsessive one and wants her son to find the right girl and marry her in a jiffy.
That's what you're led to believe until this scene when you realize.she does want him to marry and be happy but she doesn't want him to rush into something and get his heart broken
The animated Disney version is very different - but that makes sense, since they're not even written by the same people!
I still love this movie so much. I watched it when I was 4, and never forgot about it.

Around this time she performed the lead in A Funny Thing... Forum written by the great Stephen Sondheim. His music is complex and precise. Lots of words which requires breath control and figuring out where to breathe.

There high majesties the Queen and King are right while yeah she seems beautiful personality and appearance he's only know here for a briefly way bit by meeting her shortly in the street market and meeting her the night at the ball before she high tailed out of there during the midnight magic off way bit are you sure that she's the right girl for you your majesty because we have to be careful around people we don't know most could be evil since there are more villains in all reality then there are of heroes since, I know that since, I've seen it on the villains and heroes wikis unfortunately and a lot of romance can go the wrong way so your mom and dad could be 100% right oww, I do hope his majesty Prince Charming is using his brain more then his heart hopefully still more that's what, I wish for right guys!
