I felt sad for Miguel. It's heartbreaking to look at Miguel's face :( Poor guy, he's like really upset, almost at tears. They are both in love, living together, working together, building their future together. So I don't understand why Paulo rejected his proposal, it's not like they got to marry tomorrow, they could be engaged for a year or so. It's clear that Paulo wants to be with Miguel for the rest of their lives, so why why? :/ I understand that he thinks that it's a big step, but still it's a crappy reason to say "no".
It's also about Miguel having a lot of doubts. He didn't want to make their relationship public in the first place, then he didn't want to open the diving school, because he was afraid, of what people might think of him. All that was a few days ago. And now all of the sudden he wants to marry Paulo, right after another guy hit on Paulo and the proposal could be a result of his jealousy. I don't even think that Paulo says no because they've only been together for a few weeks or because marriage is a big deal. I think Paulo just wants to marry because of the right reasons and without anyone having any doubts and problems regarding their relationship. So I can understand his decision quite well :)
Same here, Ricky. Miguel, in spite of his temper, has a very soft part in his heart and also has some kind of innocence in his attitude. He wants to make things right and act according to where his heart leads him to. It broke my heart to see his face after all, but I think Paulo did the right thing for now. He kindly reasoned with Miguel and had a mature way to handle the situation. I'm sure Miguel will understand that and in a near future, this "no" will turn into a "yes" :)
I do not think Paulo realizes how much that hurt Miguel. He looked so devastated sitting on the couch. I think the jealousy is really Miguel feeling insecure about their relationship, afraid Paulo will leave him eventually. He feels alone, his brother was murdered and the only one he can talk to seems to be Alfonso. And Paulo doesn't seem to realize that, he seemed kind of cold at the end of the scene. He seemed like he was lecturing or scolding Miguel, instead of reaching out to him. I can only imagine how bad Miguel will feel when Paulo suggests that they take a break from each other. :(
I do not think it is out of character for Miguel to propose. He is very impulsive and Paulo is more cautious. They need to prove to each other that this relationship is what they want without any doubts or insecurities. They have gone from one conflict --the plane accident, getting fired, trying to start a new career to buying a new business together. Paulo is afraid that Miguel will never truly come out of the closet and Miguel is afraid of losing Paulo to somebody else, etc.

To me it's not convincing. Just a few ago, Miguel doubted about everything: being gay, loving Paulo, what people might think, and yet he proposed to Paulo. From the psychological point of view, for a character like Miguel that is a super-huge decision, he doesn't step up in the relationship, he really makes great strides. Why on Earth?? Once again, I should blame the writers. Paulo is the smart, responsible guy, the one who has common sense, on the other hand Miguel who just came out, and (maybe a month ago) was a violent homophobic, now he feels like tieing the knot. Writers, I think it is too much for character like Miguel. Even in real life you think twice. Then, it's Miguel who doubts, makes serious decisions, and before he would have done anything to be together. Not convincing at all!!

I think that when Miguel expresses that he does not know what Paulo wants out of their relationship, if he will want to break up when he finds somebody he likes better or whatever. Paulo has not had a long term relationship, he did not love Leo his last boyfriend, etc. And if Paulo feels hurt that Miguel has doubts, I think that he is partly to blame for not telling Miguel what he means to him after he asked him to marry him.
