Honestly I’m blown away by this, it’s a massive improvement to the first one and I think this was worth the wait, Pico’s solo and act 4-5 gave me chills and Tbiz’s voice was spot on, 11/10 I’ll be listening to this for months to come

This really helps a problem of Stars of Hope 1, where it kinda had you waiting for it to get good and then it didn’t, but that final standoff got me pumped as hell, it’s a great improvement over the original!

Since people are comparing this to Secret Exit V2, I’m gonna give my personal opinion on this: They both were very similar in introduction, but they both sounded better in Hopeful Stars V2. The Super Mario Bros 3 goal theme used in Secret Exit V2 makes a bit more sense when comparing it to the introduction of All-Stars than the Super Mario World one used in Hopeful Stars V2. I’m glad that this song made the first and second section longer though, and the second and second and a half section also had a lot less repetition than what Secret Exit V2 had, and the instrumentals sound a lot more lively and less empty in Hopeful Stars V2 section 2 and 2.5. A glaring flaw in section 2.5 for both though is the designs the the three characters because Secret Exit V2’s redesign feels like a recolor, and Hopeful Stars V2’s feels like the characters are just wearing fancy costumes rather than an actual redesign. Secret Exit V2 did a better introduction introducing Pico’s section and also adding in a section before it to slow down the fast change, but Hopeful Stars V2 did a lot better in doing Pico’s section with the instrumentals and vocals since it actually has a lot less repetition than Secret Exit V2 had, but I think Secret Exit V2 did a lot better design-wise because it emphasized that this was Ultra M’s world with the eye-design they did. I’m glad that Hopeful Stars V2 was still able to insert a section between 3 and the finale, and I also like the fact that they managed to incorporate the scrapped character for the original good ending song for MM (there was a scrapped good ending song before these two amazing songs were made, and it was made by the original MM creators), and their section sounded really good. The voice acting for the finale in Hopeful Stars V2 could’ve been done better, and it feels less of a finale and more of a rap parody, and the spirit sections felt too rushed along with the fact that they could also be redesigned a bit more to fit the song.In my opinion, Hopeful Stars V2 took the cake until the finale because Secret Exit then takes the cake.

M didnt like the idea at first but then he thought about it and accepted his offer. Little do they know is that he changed his plans and spawned the pipes on top of them to get teleported to the all stars stage where they last battled first thing but things have changed... He has some tricks up his sleeve and isn't gonna hold back this time... (No, this isnt canon i just did this for fun because this has been in my head since yesterday lol)
While V1 was good too, V2 blows that away! The art is phenomenal, the voicelines sound a lot more clean and don't feel as overused and the music is FIRE! 10/10 dude! 💯 🔥
