As a kid, unfortunately, I didn't want the articles either. Over the years I've seen many references to this magazine in Spider-Man comics when he ventures into the wrong side of town and encounters Power Man, Iron Fist, the Daughters of the Dragon, etc.
i have that same 1st issue i recently purchased, great magazine with a lot of great articles. i kinda wish the comics were in color but i dont mind it too much as the art work is great and i dont have any black and white comics so its something different out of the norm. i also got the 3rd issue featuring jim kelly and the super annual edition.

Ya I thought that this magazine was more important then it was. I have to say, I am disappointed with all that filler in each issue.

I wish there was less text and more art. But I still loved this series.
