Thank you for joining us!! Have any of you visited Chirk castle before (when they've been open)? And does anyone know who the harp man might be? We were fascinated! Let us know below!
@@MidlifeMeander The thing that looks a bit like a castle right next to the canal is just a house with a slight castle look it. Dinas Bran Castle is on top of the big hill that overlooks the town (behind the school). Not a complete castle like Chirk, it's just ruins now.
I swear there isn’t another couple like you. Loved your series of your UK holiday. You wouldn’t catch me on the top of a viaduct! I shall look forward to your recaps. It’s been lovely seeing you venture to places a lot of tourists wouldn’t. I’d love to see you hire a motor home too!
@ I think it’s brave being on a canal boat in Britain IN WINTER 🥶 My school took us on a canal holiday in the 70s during the Summer. Not a good idea to take a bunch of unruly London kids to work the locks and steer the narrow boats. Almost all of us fell in at some point 😆
I can only imagine! what it must have been like! I was under the impression the canals were in disrepair/abandoned in the 70''s? How long has the canal trust been restoring them? This will make for some interesting research.... Google!
I'm so pleased that I stumbled across your videos, and have thoroughly enjoyed following your journey. You are now on my list of favourite youtubers, and I can wait to see you on your next adventures.
@MidlifeMeander The Peak District is definitely worth a visit from Chatsworth House to Bakewell. Castleton. ( With its unique Semi Precious Blue John mines ) Then into Yorkshire. There is to much to Mention. But the City of York and it's 2000 years of history. Roman , Viking , Medieval history.

The castle at Llangollen is called Dinas Bran or crow castle for obvious reasons. Views from top are amazing.
Is that the one right next to the canal?

Motor home across Ireland! Fascinating! Thanks for the intriguing idea.
Pity about the Castle. To the next trip 🎉
Yeah we were a little disappointed but we were still able to explore the grounds which made up for it. And there are plenty more castles to explore!
Try Derbyshire When Motor Hone next time .
