I’m just super pleased that the Babylon Bee used a comma in the thumbnail. It’s where it belongs. Like when people type “Let’s go Brandon”, instead of “Let’s go, Brandon”. The first instance implies that the speaker wants us all to “go Brandon”, and that would be like going r3t4rd. You never go full r3t4rd. The second instance, properly indicates that the recipient of the message is Brandon. The speaker is spurring Brandon to “go”.

in speaking of masks ad plexiglass--I am a deaf person whose very ability to communicate is totally reliant being able to read lips, as well as feeling the vibrations of sounds, (since I can't hear the sound itself). The very use of masks made both of those actions virtually impossible for me to do--because masks of course covers up the lips, and it also make vibrations of voices mumble up to a point that it was difficult to understand what was being said by people. When I eexplain this to people who wanted to communicate with me, such as employees in stores, yo would have thought that I just asked these 'customer's services representatives' that I was asking them to kill themselves right in front of me. It was just ridiculous their responses and body languages as the 2 years dwindle on.
I wondered about that. Some teachers used face shields due to that fact but others thought that wasn't "safe" enough which was so frustrating and dumb.

The first was like you said==the face shield, which basically consisted of a piece of see-through plastic that was connected to a headband. The problem with those was that people who saw a person wearing such an item--did indeed think there was no safety in them. They thought, (And wrongly so) since the shield didn't do enough to cover the mouth tightly, Never mind that the wearer(s) was trying to offer an opportunity to allow a deaf person like myself to understand them. But apparently, there were those who convince the wearers that they should be charged with attempted manslaughter.
The 2nd type of mask that was offered really wasn't much better. It involved taking a regular face-covering mask, BUT the difference was that right smack in the middle of that cloth was a cut-out piece, that was replaced with a small (I think about a half of an inch by a half of an inch in size), piece of supposedly see through plastic. So what was the problem with this type of mask? Well--first of all, the plastic didn't expose enough of a person's lips that could be understood via lip reading, (Usually both ends of the lips were covered up! Secondly--being that the plastic was directly over a very important part which humans use to breathe with--the hot air that came out when a person talked literally steamed up that small piece of plastic! And lastly,if not the most important error of them all...do you remember that statement I made about the mask mumbling up the vibrations of the sound? Yeah--that was a bit annoying.
The Bee doesn't seem to know about the history of Crimea and the Donbas region. Ukraine was making war on both regions that were mostly populated by Russians. Nor the broken Minsk agreement. Nor that Nato was in Ukraine which was a breaking point with Russia. History is important.

Cashier Story: My best friend and I loved to find ways to make the most stoic of cashiers crack.
It was 1998 at a Suncoast Video in a very low end mall, and we were buying a DVD for a movie night we were planning. The Cashier was very much like Emma. Anyways, we were looking at the impulse items and one was a VHS Rewinder (VHS was on its way out of the industry). I point to it and exclaim excited, "I wonder if this works on DVDs!?"
The cashier looked over and saw were talking about tape rewinders and bursted out laughing. (Go us!)

My doctor of many years still requires everyone to wear a mask in her office. I explained that studies have proven they are ineffective. She said wear a mask or go elsewhere. I left and now have another doctor.

Pence said what he said, he was talking about the tanks and how important it was to send them over and how they weren't coming fast enough. His goal might have been to make Biden look bad, but we all know he's speaking for defense contractors. So when he said that's not my concern, he was preparing to answer that Ukraine tanks were not his concern but that's exactly what he was talking about. He wasn't talking about the struggles of the American people cuz that is what really is not his concern.

Men who are following Andrew Tate have been raised in a social environment where they’ve been told they aren’t allowed to act like men. I disagree completely with Andrew’s approach to providing men with prescriptions for how a man behaves. I think the problem is that these men haven’t had many people as outspoken as Andrew Tate.
