Yes but they need more Classic created Race Tracks to use. The Most of them what the organizer use are inside the ovals insted the Classic ones, correct me if I'm wrong.
@@jeff69cplParticularly the split between the main series and the GT America is so weird and dumb. Also they could combine GT3 and GT4 grids for the main races - works in British GT and GTWC Asia but apparently the American gentlemen driver-team owners are less inclined to pay damage bills as a result of multiclass races.
Yeah it is. The series lost a lot of teams this year. Two were actually graduates who moved up into IMSA, Conquest and Triarsi, so you really can't blame them. TRG and MDK are gone too. The series needs to develop a bullpen or it can really get drained in the near future. I can see Samantha Tan taking her team and moving on to IMSA Pilot Challenge next year. And with small entry lists, I don't think that other than Indy, a compelling reason to have two classes of cars.
@@williamford9564Sam doesn't want to run GT4s again after her 24H Series stint, if anything it'll be a GTWC Europe move or a WTSCC move with Verhagen/Auberlen in GTD Pro.
Ellis/Burton using the same strategy that failed before is gutsy. 12 cars is not a lot. If IMSA is any indication, maybe the 30+ is too many for a lot of the drivers. Perhaps something closer to 20 is optimal for safety?
13:30 Wait...so this series gets tire warmers and WEC and IMSA don't. why is that? Is the perelli tire that bad on out laps? Is it because of the sprint format? Is it a money issue? thats what I hear from drivers teams and race control. does it really help reduce costs? Does this cost out weigh the cost of a busted chassis? If the teams had a vote, would they want them back in IMSA and WEC? Can we get them back for races like Daytona 24 or petit Le Mans? the weather at these race can be very inconsistent ?
Great job by Neil Verhagen after his junior years at the Nordschleife. The field size is a disgrace for the land which always prides itself on the biggest and greatest for everything. Only four Pro cars, LOL
IMSA exists and America has never been able to sustain two pro sportscar series, WC got away with it from 2006-2008 with the death of Trans Am but it can't when it basically is just extended test sessions for IMSA teams.
so the porsche tried to overtake the vette, cannot hold its line, crashes into the vette causes catastrophic damage and the vettes get s long lap penalty? so they have gotten to this series as well then ... sad
Need to make GT racing in America competitive again. This series has so much potential
Imsa is more appealing
It already is in IMSA's GT3 (GTD) class.
This Fanatec series hasn't been doing well for many years.

It’s called IMSA

Big W for Porsche today love to see it
That Corvette looks awesome, but only 12 cars? Yeesh. SRO needs to figure out how to get car counts up.

GTWC America still pretty much runs on the old PWC regulations and rulesets. That's why we have longer 90-minute races, refueling, and tire warmers
cool. thank you for the info....I know more now!
IMSA has never had tire warmers and never will.

Too many German brands. Looks too much like DTM.
You have been living under a rock since DTM went GT3 buddy
