Favorite fragrance has to be PDM Athalia. Theirs nothing I adore more than her! She’s me in a bottle!!
Mind games is a no for me. Yes, maybe the quality is there. Yes, the fragrances sound interesting and the bottles are beautiful. But almost four hundred dollars for a fragrance is no longer reasonable to me, no matter how good it might smell. No perfume is worth that amount of money to me.

Yes.. and the packaging is where a chunk of the money goes into. If they start showing up on discount sites.. then I might buy one or two, but otherwise it's a No for me, too.

Mind games “Double attack” is a good one too! That chocolate and saffron is such a crazy mix! It’s more masculine to me, but it is really nice. I’d like it on my husband for sure!

I can’t believe I haven’t tried Wavechild. It’s been sold out several places so I just moved on. And Amore Cafe is by far my favorite Mancera. Scent bird is fabulous. I’ve had a subscription for years and their bottle case combos are quite nice. ❤

Ex Nihilo is finally starting to appear on the discount sites more and more the last few months. I've bought 3 Ex Nihilo fragrances the last few months. The Harmonist fragrances are also showing up on them recently.. ❤😊

On another note.. I actually just bought Wavechild. I’m from Canada and it’s $225 .. expensive. I do see your point by itself. But I LOVE layering it with different scents like KAYALI Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar or Burberry Goddess/Her.
And amping it up further with Hempz watermelon coconut moisturizer first. I know it may be a lot of work for some but sooooo worth it! A serious compliment getter!!!

I was holding my breath when I saw Amore Caffe pop up on the screen. I have a full bottle being delivered tomorrow. I tested it and loved it. So glad you love it too. We have similar taste in fragrance. I’ll be saving it for the fall. Great video!

Amore caffe reminds me of the way a brown sugar boba Milk tea tastes.
I started doing only 5mls or less. Id rather do 3ml but they are harder to find. I have 450.00 of 10mls i hate. Thats a fraction. Ive sold probably of 1000 dollars worth.

I've been really enjoying my Scentbird membership for the past three years now, and in fact I've been meaning to do a video on every decant I've ever received from them! I love that they also do the 1.5 ml samples now and I purchase a lot of those as well 😊 Even the "SB select" decants after tax, shipping and exchange still only come out to be around $50 Canadian per month, which is not bad when you realize the Tom Ford travel sprays are over $100 on Sephora Canada! 😅

Girl I have never had a good experience with scent bird. Every time I sign up I end up closing my account, due to the variety in fragrances. The problem is the ones that don’t cost “extra” are the basic boring ones like Versace crystal, light blue, Prada candy, ect and those have been around for years and I don’t like them. ANY of the niche ones that I want to actually try are an extra 10-15$ extra on top of the monthly charge! That’s crazy to me! Why would you offer those fragrances and adding an extra charge with them? That totally turned me off. Not enough variety for me with the no extra cost fragrances. All the ones I wanted to try cost Extra, and in this economy, nobody has an extra 35$ plus a month to try a fragrance. I like the idea of their brand, but when you have a more refined nose, you can’t try any of the niche ones without paying 10-15$ extra ! Scentbird is perfect for newbies to the fragrance world, but not for the veterans because theirs not enough variety without having to fork out more money. Just keeping it real. I’m better off buying a sample of the niche fragrance from the brands website or something. Idk the extra charges for the nicer fragrances turn me off completely.

Hi Jackie m, thanks for sharing. Amore Caffe is the best scent from Mancera that I’ve smelled. I only have a 2 ml of it, and that’s enough for me. Definitely will be getting it come fall.

Wonderful straight up reviews! Love it! I agree with getting a decant and it must be at least a 5ml spray! Very important to keep blind buying to a minimum! 😊❤
So interesting how we all respond differently to fragrances. I blind bought Amore Cafe and had to declutter it. I much preferred the Ristretto Cafe that I picked up from you on Mercari. Amore Cafe smelled like burnt caramel to me and that came across too bitter for my nose.
I've been waiting for someone to review Caissa. I have the Scentbird decant of it and I love it. I keep wondering about the lasting power though. Someone said if I was choosing between Caissa and Sirene by FDB, to go with Sirene because it was a powerhouse.
I don't pick up on the licorice in it (I don't like that note) so now I need to try it again. It just seems like a beautiful yet interesting floral on me.
I also find our different perceptions so interesting. What one person loves and smells can be so different and I love that. I’m so happy you’re enjoying ristretto!!
@@jaxbeautifulyou I've also sort of figured out different UA-camrs scent perspectives and that's helpful too. If you say a particular note is something you DO NOT like... that's actually helpful in assessing your review. Don't feel bad if you are pointing those things out. It's more helpful than negative (in my opinion). It helps me (listeners) know what's informing your opinion.

When I first got into perfumes I would just collect all the perfumes from the fragrance houses I liked (Kayali and Phlur) but as I’ve been getting into niche perfumes more I’m trying to be more cut throat with my collection. Like I don’t want to keep something I never wear bc that’s such a waste butttt I keep going back n forth with myself on selling some of my Kayali perfumes I don’t wear bc I have the whole collection and it’s so pretty and aesthetically pleasing but then again I literally don’t wear half of them 😭

I agree - I love The Forward! It is on my wish list but I am not willing to pay more than $220 for it. There are people that sell Mind Games perfumes in the FB fragrance groups so I may get from them.
I had exactly the same experience with wavechild. Loved the opening but couldn’t stand the dry down and had to wash it off. Glad I’m not the only one!

Yeah i felt the same way about Wavechild it's doing the same thing on my skin with the Marine on the dry down so no i won't be buying a bottle of it, The same thing happened to me with Vanilla Vibes but i blind bought it and had to use a vanilla oil to cut the Marine smell lol

I also have a Scentbird subscription and I almost ended up with the same exact haul as you. I hated Caïssa at first. Like really hated it. But I noticed it lasted on my skin forever. Like almost an entire 24 hours between showers. My husband said he liked how it smelled so I gave it another try. Once that black licorice smell dissipates, the incense on the dry down is very nice. That first spray is shocking, though. In a bad way.
I definitely will give it another try. Sometimes fragrance surprises me lol

I need to give it a good wear and see if it lasts that long for me. I feel like it's gonna be a love but I've been on the fence about it. (Because of the price, mostly)
Mind Games fragrances do not last on my skin, they are really overpriced for what they are. I wore the samples to work and when I arrived at the office I asked my colleague and she could not pick up the scent (she usually does). I live in Canada and here it costs 510 dollars each before taxes 😮 I own bottles of Maison Crivelli extraits which are cheaper with amazing sillage and longevity. No way I am dropping hundreds on something that doesn't last. I don't care about fancy bottles.

I think it's important you research the woman who owns Scentbird. I am not sure you want to partner with a person who holds views that she does. They are rather extreme and not in a "political" type way that you see today, but in a total disregard of the murder of Jews in Hitler's Germany type of way. She also believes women have the choice to miscarry. UA-camrs have covered this and more and more awareness is coming to her.

I blind bought wavechild and so regret it. The opening is so good, but dry down is like so basic, and on me, it smells like an expired perfume😢. My bad, I shouldn't have fallen for all the hype and tried a travel size bottle first :(
