Another great review . Never used one before I got side delivery rakes v rake 5 wheel rakes. I wish I could justify buying one Ive never owned MF hay equipment not because I don't think it's worth it but never seem any at the farm sales where I usually buy equipment. These reviews you do really do MF justice. Feel free to send me one I'll put it to real usage and video for you. 😁
Awesome video as usual. Can you do one on the new MF rb4160v baler. Same thing as the Vermeer 504 pro I believe. Probably the best baler available in the US.
I have not personally measured the Rotor but Massey Ferguson Publishes Working Width as 14' 9". Windrow width can be 2' 6" to 5' 3". In my opinion the working width should be the same no matter the windrow width so I am assuming the Rotor Width would be the same as Working Width on a Single Rotor Rake. That is wrong. Working width is a bs sales value. 15ft working width means the raked hay plus window size. With a 5ft window their is 3ft on the bottom that was never raked. The rotor spins so fast it throws the hay out. The clean sweep value is what u want. An 11ft rotor only cleans 10.5ft of hay...
If your "Throwing Hay" Your running the PTO Speed to Fast. Optimal Starting PTO Speed of 450 RPM is recommended starting, if your throwing hay you need to speed tractor speed or reduce PTO Speed to Match the Hay Volume Conditions you have in your field. In the Operators Manual it states Working Width is 11.31' to 14.11' of Raking Coverage for the RK451T. Windrow Width is from 2' 6" to 5' 3". Most Massey Ferguson customers keep their machines for a long long time. Hard to get them to let go because they love them that much.

We have filmed RB4180V Walkaround but have to edit and publish the video. Maybe late this week or early next week. We have several more coming .
On the Massey Rakes, like this one for example, is the rotor width actually 14' 9" or is that the width if the side curtain is at max extension?

Hmm did you mention PTO HP requirement for this Rake? I am sure it doesn't take much.
oops...forgot that...trying to beat inbetween rain showers last week. 41 PTO HP Minimum is the recommended HP Tractor for the RK451T.
