@@jayhuns8 i have an eye on the Michael Landau 1968 custom shop. Is yours the same ? I have a silver sky moc sand satin from 2021, but i have kind of realized, the amp was not much of the missing piece. I just got a super reverb reissue, and it still misses something. I am guessing it is the authentic fender tone you get form a fender guitar, that is so subconsciously engraved in my mind from hours of listening to the WTLI concert. I have not been able to create that. Don't you think the Custom shop 1968 is a little too bright compared to the Silver sky, but that is exactly what gives that tone when you are bending on hitting those grace notes..? Would love to hear what you think about this since you have both the guitars
@@jasonshrestha Yes it’s the landau 68 cs strat! hmm when I first got my Cs strat, it really was bright and loud…almost too bright too 😂 but playing over the years, the guitar somehow matched to the mayer-ish sound I wanted. Silversky is awesome too, but there’s really just something about the fender strats that give the authentic sound we know of… Fyi my silversky is a pre 2018 model, which the pickups have thicker bass tone!

I’m kinda thinking of changing the cs fat 50’s pickup used here, to a suhr pickup 😂 (yeah the guitar is quite wild in terms of tone)
