Verizon doesn't allow rcs on Samsung messages. I think it depends on your carrier because some people can't access the rcs settings.
It's most likely because VZW has their own app called Message Plus (which I'm surprised is still a thing!) Let alone VZW Cloud.
Only Google messages itself does RCS while just like you I do have Verizon as my carrier for my S23 ultra even with all the updates lately I still my manage to have my Samsung messages within the settings to switch up the messaging default

It comes pre installed but if you somehow don't have it you can download the latest apk as always

I like google messages but I use samsung messages because it looks better and more adjustments then goodge messages app google should just adapt samsung messages app

Idk why samsung is pushing 2 messages apps when they want to make google messages as default. Also google messages why don't they just make rcs turn on by default, majority users won't even know what rcs is? Also they google messages ui looks crap, they need to modernize it a lot. Samsung messages or imessage have a good ui.
As far as I know T-Mobile in the USA does NOT support RCS messaging and no way to turn this on on my Galaxy phone using the Samsung Messaging app. If someone knows otherwise then PLEASE share how you were able to turn it on using T-Mobile. THANKS!

Recently i have noticed battery drain issue in S24 ultra and the main cause is Contact Storage. I dont know what it is but i have read on the internet that many users are facing similar issue since many years and is not just a handset specific.
Can u please help to get the solution for the same?

on s23 there is no option in of chat settings in samsung msg app

There is no clarity on that, On google messages it is encrypted as per google

No RCS messaging for samsung official spp in India because I don't see the chat option on samsung messaging app
