my biggest tarpon was bout 30-40 lbs.on light tackle..pulled me around on the flats for about an hour.hooked right in the top of the lip on a small spook topwater.awesome fish
Addictive Fishing I love your show man! I wish we had big Tarpon, GT's and Kingfish here in the Azores like you guys have over there! I do have a question for you. Have you ever thought of using the Knot2Kinky's NickelTitanium wire and avoid being cut off those many times?
man, that happened to me here in puerto rico exact as you, a double on migrating tarpon, i got a 50 pound jack and my buddy caught a 60 pound king mine was jigging, but man what a rush
@prjake11 Sharks are in a different category when it comes to eating artificials . . . I have not had many sharks eat them, but live bait or cut bait on big circle hooks soaked on the bottom . . . that is what I would use.
@addictivefishing have you ever gone fishing for big pike or Muskie they say the Muskie is a fish of a thousand casts, I go fishing for big pike and huge channel cats I have caught only 3 catfish in 2 years and all of them have been over 30 pounds and taken a good hour to reel in I have 3 trophy pikes too
@AddictiveFishing This is Jbizub12 on my brothers account, thanks for responding so fast lol, my friends and I go shark/tarpon fishing at Marco Island during the night, usually 11pm-5am, would these lures work at that time?

Where I live a 40 pound tarpon is the smallest you will see. Average is probably 90-120 pounds here.

@bangyourhead99x Wright & McGill Sabalos reels
That jack would be average to small were we catch them. try under a parked shrimp boat in Louisiana and you could fight one for an hour.
what did you use as bait? excuse my photo
are those guys fishing with lie baits?
+kat eldiablo yes, live bait.
@AddictiveFishing copy that!! thank you!
What time of year was this filmed?
Summer
You lost the tarpon capt. because you rapped the line up in your hand which gives him no drag
@lisolangka Go to doalures.com and look at the BFL . . . it's awesome!
